I went with a friend who recommended the neighboring shop but as i reached around 8pm, the lady boss was cleaning up the verandah. Therefore we ate at this restaurant. Ordered a steam fish, kangkung belacan & salted vegetable (ham choy) soup.
The pond-bred fish was steamed to perfection & very fresh without a trace of mud taste, drenched in light soy sauce & garnished with sliced ginger+coriander. The taste is heavenly while the steel plate is heated at the bottom. Kangkung belacan was ok, I've tested better ones.
I love foods that are sourish, spicy & salty. The salted vegetable soup was my favorite. It has delicious springy fish balls, sliced of ginger & cut tomatoes with picked sour plums for a bowl of exquisite tasting soup.

Steamed featherback belly was good. The fish is also known ad Belida.
