A cosy cafe located in the Spritzer Ecopark. Opens daily from 11am to 10pm. Has two seating areas; outdoor open-air seating (beside a small creek) and limited indoor air-conditioned seating (indoor seating has a romantic, cosy tea-house vibe 🥰) Payment via cash or card are available. 💵💳
Staff especially Mr. Akmal and Mr. Jason are friendly and helpful 😊👍. We were greeted with warm hospitality from the staff and Mr. Akmal helped us to our seats. He even gave us further explanation about our menu choice 😊👍 Staff service is great 👍
As for the food, this cafe have a wide selection of appetizers, pasta 🍝, soups🥣, pizzas🍕, western food🍴, local food🍜, beverages 🍹and desserts🍰. However, the pricings are slightly pricier than other places in this area but it is considered reasonable seeing the portion size, presentation and ingredients used. As for the waiting time, we didn't have to wait for too long because we came after the peak lunch hour today. Probably around 10-15mins or lesser 🤔
We've ordered the Seafood Carbonara pasta 🍤🍝 (fettuccine cooked al-dente tossed in creamy carbonara sauce and garnished with squid rings, shrimps and mussels), Chicken Paradise 🍗🌶 (two big pieces of deep-fried boneless chicken breasts topped with a cool and creamy jalapeno sauce on a bed of mashed potatoes garnished with spring onion) , Ice Lemon Sabah Tea 🍋🍹 (refreshing ice tea with citrusy twist) and Ice Water 💧❄🥤 (350ml mineral water bottle with a glass of ice). We totally enjoyed everything as the food is delicious and the drinks are refreshing 😍👍.
Thank you STG Taiping for the great food and good service. Will definitely come again...
Read moreWhile STG Cafe in Taiping offers stunning views and delicious food, its customer service experience leaves much to be desired. Unfortunately, the negative interactions with the staff, particularly with a waiter named Eric and a male Chinese cashier whose name we couldn't recall, overshadowed the positive aspects of our visit.
The malay female staff was exceptionally welcoming and nice but not the Chinese. Super rude.
The cafe's location provides breathtaking panoramic views that are truly worth experiencing. The quality of the food was good. Also the chicken burger doesn't taste good, chicken tasted bland other food was ok especially the roasted potatoes and the cakes are super delicious
However, the behavior of the waiter named Eric was unacceptable. His rudeness were deeply offensive and made our dining experience unpleasant.
The male Chinese cashier's indifference towards us, despite our clear presence, was unprofessional and discriminatory. It took several minutes of waiting before he even acknowledged our existence to pay probably we waited about 10 minutes until another Indian staff came and knocked the window and let him know that we wanted to pay but he was still unbothered.
While the natural beauty and culinary offerings of STG Cafe, Taiping, are commendable, the negative experiences with the staff unfortunately outweigh the positives. Until the cafe addresses the issues of customer service and staff behavior, it is difficult to recommend...
Read moreVery attractive environment didn't expect to see somewhere like this in Taiping tbh has quite a North American/European feel to how it looks. You're surrounded by trees which is good for shade obviously - there's indoor and outdoor (covered seating) and a fairly large number of tables. It's part of the eco Park so good place to go either before or after and parking should be easy even at weekends.
I know recent reviews have complained about the service but was pretty good without being amazing in our experience and food came out quite quickly and close together though because it was raining it was quiet so that probably helped. We only had drinks and desserts so can't comment on the other food though obviously it is expensive for the area but I guess you'd know that before you went probably.
Mocha mousse I had was very good actually and a pot of sabah tea went really well with it and I though was excellent at just under 30rm for both it's KL prices really but for the overall quality and environment worth it in my opinion though wouldn't go everyday. Others with me had ice cream and a sizzling brownie and ice cream all of which they said were of good if not amazing quality - actually price wise the desserts are surprisingly reasonable as portion is big. I doubt I'd be up this way again anytime soon but If I was I'd...
