Dear [Tok Wan Grill/Management],
I recently visited your restaurant after coming across many positive comments on TikTok, and I was really looking forward to the experience. While I truly appreciate the effort put into running the place, I would like to humbly share some feedback from my visit, with the hope it could help improve further.
When we arrived, my family and I did not receive a welcome gesture from the staff, which left us a little unsure of where to sit. We decided to take a table meant for 4–6 people, even though it was just the three of us. The food preparation did take some time, but that was not an issue for us since we were not in a rush.
For the drinks, they were served in plastic cups, which felt a little less than expected for the price point, and the taste seemed closer to cordial. As for the grilled lamb, the portion was reasonable and fair for the price, but it was slightly overcooked and a bit salty. The black pepper sauce provided was in a very small portion, and we noticed there was an additional charge for more.
On a positive note, my wife ordered the salmon pasta, and the salmon itself was fresh and tasted very good. It really helped balance the dish, as the pasta cream sauce on its own felt a bit flat. My daughter had nuggets and fries — though the nuggets seemed to be of a lower quality type, luckily she was hungry and managed to finish them.
Another point I’d like to share is about the café’s music. The playlist during our visit felt quite moody, which didn’t really match the lively dining atmosphere one might expect in a grill restaurant. Perhaps a warmer or more vibrant selection could uplift the overall experience.
Lastly, since this is a grill restaurant, I believe improving the air ventilation would really enhance the dining experience. We left with a strong grill smell on our clothes, which could be uncomfortable for some customers.
Please understand that I share this feedback with full respect and with the hope that it will be taken as constructive. I truly believe your restaurant has great potential, and with a few improvements, it could give customers an even better dining experience.
Thank you for taking the time to read...
Read moreI was recommended to came here by a lot of people of mine so I did visit today.everything mostly very good I really enjoy the food was amazing but I only have 1 regret its about the drink.firstly I ordered orange juice and it came with NO taste of Orange and I ask for a bit of sugar but after I add about half of small glass of sugar that the Waiter give it to me,its still taste blank..so I ask to change the drink to pineapple juice but it came with the same taste as orange juice. I also hear that someone said in the kitchen 'Manis tu. Bagi je'' so this is how you handle a complain about the drink?I'm also a chef and I can tell a different between real juice or mixed with water.(beside my friend order the same juice juice but it was really good and why my juice its not the same as my friend?)please change the bad habit in kitchen, taste the food/drink quality before serve it.be professional.everything else is great..the food, the servers the place...
Read moreDespite all the good reviews, our meals yesterday were very bad. The chicken wings for appetizer was crispy fried chicken soaked with something like kicap pekat! The taste was very bad! The chicken wings have rotten smell and taste! I'm not going to eat crispy fried chicken and kicap for months because of this! The sizzling grilled chicken also bad. The grilled chicken was very very dry and the cheese burnt! The braised lamb and rice just so so but plain. The lamb just like lauk kenduri kahwin. We force ourselves to finished the meal due to the high price. I will not come again due to very bad experience. It does not meet our expectation at all. And in this covid-19 time, they just let everyone dine inside of the small area of the restaurant. Even some table they already marked with black&yellow tape. It was very congested in the small space! Sorry but this is honest...
