Cafe by the beach. It's a holiday just to sit under a tree on a sandy beach, eating lunch. The sign for the cafe is easy to miss. Parking is a bit of a tight squeeze. Food is malay. Nasi Nyiru (Ayam penyet) is Just RM9. Large piece of chicken with crunchy batter. Slightly disappointed that the sambal was not homemade and the nasi was a bit dry but the ambience more than made up for it. Service was prompt. There are tables under trees and in a ricketty shed. When I saw the photos, I thought it was only one restaurant/cafe, but when I went there, there's actually a few of them near each other. If you are the type that forgot about the surrounding when eating, then this place is fine for you. The foods are decent, but I can never forget the taste of their Nasi Ayam Penyet. Very underrated place to watch the sunset at Kota Kinabalu. Several dishes are available here to order, eg nasi goreng, mee goreng, soto, rojak. Seats are also plentiful and clean.

Not many people here when I visit. Quite a shame as the view here is very nice. Plentiful of parking spaces. Worth it to drive 15...
