The best place we ate at during our month in Borneo. We went here four times with our family. The food is delicious, the service is wonderful and friendly. It's a really nice, family atmosphere. Our children became friends with the owners' daughters. Our children didn't want to eat anywhere else after their first visit and asked us to come back the next day. The food is very fresh, and the owner tells you what's on offer. Everyone speaks excellent English, and it's easy to communicate or have a conversation. We'll definitely come back here when we're back in Borneo, even if we only come to Sandakan to eat the best seafood in Borneo! Not only is the food delicious, but the prices are very reasonable; I'd say that for the quality of the food, they're definitely too low. We'd easily pay twice as much for this place and visit every day of our stay. I highly recommend it. It's open Tuesday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5...

If you want to eat among the locals go to this place. The crab, prawns and squid were delicious as well as the Sabah veggies we decided to try. The restaurant is family owned and it almost feels like eating at home, when we went the place wasn’t crowded at all. The lady who took our orders was very friendly and answered patiently to all of our many questions guiding us in the choice. Prices are not listed but you can ask her if you want to have an idea of how much you are going to spend. Location is right on the sea on Sim Sim village, next to the Sea Garden, which felt very peaceful and refreshing compared to Sandakan. Overall I really recommend this place, you will not be...

Located inside famous sim sim water village. Our table is right next to the water. The lady was very friendly and helpful. No prices on the menu as prices are set per main ingredient and and out. We had salted eggs fried sotong (squid), "Kam Heong" (fragrant) prawns, steamed Teochew taocheo four finger threadfin fish (朝周豆浆马友鱼)and salted fish fried kailan. Seems a lot of food for 2 people but they reduced it to an appropriate amount. All tasted very good, with good work hei, nice balance of salt/unami. One can tell from the food pics we took as an afterthought!...
