This place is overhyped and the cooking is surprisingly average for an overpriced restaurant. Take this from someone who has been here at least 3 times.

I went there with my wife recentlh. We ordered ikan merah masak tiga rasa, salted egg fried squid, butter prawn, sayur kailan. The fish is too soggy instead of dry and crispy as you would expect when ordering tiga rasa. And the sourness part of the tiga rasa (triple taste) is so overwhelming that you might as well name it satu rasa (singular taste). Admittedly the fish is fresh since customer can chose any live fish from their aquarium that is to their liking. Salted eqq fried squid is also decent and the butter prawn is competently cooked. But the sayur kailan is not fresh and too small a portion. I also ordered a jug of watermelon juice. Overall we paid almost RM 200 which is expensive for Sabah.

Some people said the nice atmosphere is half of the price but I’m unsure what do they mean. The place is dimly lit with a weird choice of lighting (dark blue, red, purple). It really messes up your photo. And the seat is not comfortable, just the usual warung seat.

Granted service is fast, no issue. This restaurant is already closing by 9.30pm so don’t come late. Parking is horrible but it comes with the territory.

A better alternative I would suggest is the restaurant just beside 88 or Ocean King IJM...

Hi Foodie, looking for nice seaside good seafood dinner or lunch? Sim sim id where you need to go.. big thumbs thumbs for the cheese prawn🦐..eat till lick dish.. 🤤 Highly recommend this dish, the saurce is thick and stick to all the prawn, i eat shell and all in cause is full of flavour..if you dont like it..just de shell it..(highly recommended)

The pickle winter vege steam fish(冬菜蒸鱼)🐟 is divine..must have..fresh grouper steam till perfection with the sauce just at the right place ..you wouldn't wan to miss..

The clam with ginger and scallions is tender and sweet.. not chewing gum at all and most importantly clean and not sandy.. credit to the chef..

They recommended their signature dark soy baby🦑, For me it is just normal , not that suprising. But is for my personal opinion, if you like baby squid, do give it a chance.

They offer fresh coconut drink here , enjoying the breeze and have a great dinner chill with a fresh coconut, what can i ask for more right😛

Credit to my bro aka my best tourguide Jeanson Lee sharing us this wonderful place and experience..will definitely come again for this...

Terrible service and attitude! Monday, 5.20pm we ordered our food. There were only 2 tables of customers. A staff serve us wrong dish, instead of crab meat bitter gourd, we got garlic fried bitter gourd. The staff realized their mistake but they act ignorant with no apology. We observed their attitude and respond throughout. They were avoiding eye contact with us. When we asked for bill, they even charged us price for crab meat bitter gourd. We told them their mistake, with much delayed only they gave us discount. Yet no apology. The staff also very lazy and inefficient. They did not serve us immediately when our steam shellfish and crab ready, instead they waited for other dishes, only together they served onto table, by the time we got the food, its no longer steaming hot. We paid the bill, the staff did not care to return us balance immediately, but she prepared rice for other customers, waited in their kitchen for some other dishes, only she wanted to walk one shot to return us balance and serve dishes to others. Their lady boss just sat in the counter, doesnt care at all. Moreover, the food taste are just so so only. Very...

This place is full of surprises. While the walk to the restaurant involves passing through a slightly unpleasant-smelling pathway, it’s well worth it. The "floating" seafood restaurant stretches out into the sea, and its unique design ends in a structure shaped like the bow of a boat, adding a distinctive charm. We tried the lobster noodles, fried prawns, belacan kangkung, clam soup, and cooked kahanga. Every dish was made with fresh ingredients and prepared beautifully. The lobster noodles were packed with flavour, and the prawns were exceptionally fresh and delicious. The service was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and eager to recommend dishes based on our preferences. We visited around 5 PM for a late lunch/early dinner, and despite the restaurant being nearly empty, the staff maintained their warm and helpful attitude. If you're looking to enjoy fresh seafood in a peaceful and unique setting, I would highly recommend this place.
