WARUNG POKDI KELATE — Restaurant in Sabah

Malaysian Cuisine is comprise of diverse ethnicity and race that live in here.One of the Great cuisine is served by Malay Race in malaysia. In sabah, not many restuarant that offer a great food with very affordable price to dine in. Pok Di Kelate is a place that served you a great and authentic kelate food with great price. My experience being in Pok di Kelate is awesome. beginning with the menu, you have the freedom to choose any dish that you wanted as it is served like a buffet style. The customer Service is acceptable with some are not really responding to you in view understandable hectic moment of lunch hour. There are so much seafood with chicken and beef cooked with the spirit of Local malaysian (Kelate) and especially quite aromatic. I have selected Nasi Kerabu Kelate where the rice have a signature of being blue together with spiced herb fried chicken and some salad served as side dish. The price is really cheap as i paid only rm 8 for it. The surrounding environment is not much to be impressed in view it is open space with so much noise with acceptable dining table and chair. Regarding the taste of my Nasi kerabu, one word, Awesome. The fried spiced chicken is so aromatic, Sweet with some element of spiciness. The taste of the rice blend well ith the salad. Before eating, i have a habit to smell my foods because i had always believe that Aromatic food gave great flavour. Pok Di kelate did not disappoint me at all as their nasi kerabu is one of the best i have tasted in sabah. This is crazy good, but i suggest you should come either before lunch hour or after, because if u come during lunch hour of any day, it is super busy, super crowded that u have to wait for seatings, trust me.. better yet, just take away if u are really craving for them..

Service is quick, and the people is nice, friendly type. Cleanliness is average. Price is reasonable. Foods are unique, not that u can find at any other Malay restaurant anywhere in KK City, maybe because they're from the peninsula.

I had Nasi Campur with Ayam berempah, and my vege was superb, i love the geavy that comes w the vege. Because the restaurant have numbering system to pick up your own drink, when i left my table to get my drink, my table has been taken.. i was in the mid of eating... so sad..

So i had Teh Tarik Madu for my drink, and gosh that's super fulfilling, its more like 2-3 persons drink. And i also bought Kacang Burma as dessert, definitely something I'd like to get again, worth as serving to guests that come to your house, it's...

This restaurant is great. They provide us a superb services and cheap price for their foods. This restaurant serves us Kelantan cuisines like nasi kerabu and etc. This restaurant always packed during peak hour. Their have variety of dishes. My favorite is prawn curry, ayam percik, and fried squid with onion. The portion served here are huge! But, sometimes their staff got so busy and no one clean the tables out there.
