TJ Shellout & Steamboat Miri — Restaurant in Sarawak

Came here to celebrate my parents’ advanced birthday, and honestly, I regret it. We were asked to preorder 2 hours in advance so the food could be served on time, but we still ended up waiting 40 minutes. What was the point of preordering then?

Food? Not it. The seafood wasn’t fresh, and some, like the clams, were straight-up bad (photo attached because you need to see this). The rice took 10+ minutes to arrive after the dishes, and when it finally did, it was burnt. Like, come on.

Drinks? Almost everything was out of stock.

Honestly, for a place that asks for preorders, you’d think they’d at least be prepared. Instead, it was just slow service, bad food, and barely any drinks available....

Never one to complain or give bad review but this is a first since it was so bad. I recently visited this restaurant, and it was an absolute disappointment. The seafood was anything but fresh—most of it seemed old, and the clams I had were actually rotten. POOR QUALITY! To make matters worse, the rice was burnt, and the whole meal tasted like it had been sitting around for too long. 2 times went there, waited more than an hour also the second time, almost an hour, I've book and called before come yet my name not in the booking list. No sorry and all.. Prawns smell bad but the others still taste good..

Food quite ok but their hospitality toward customers should be improved...
