A very pleasant restaurant located near the Sky Mirror Jetty, the vast menu surprises 😮 however they don't exactly have an established menu for review, that's why it's tough to make orders. Usual seafood applies however the cooking style is what we need recommendation for. Slowly ask one dish at a time for their speciality 😋

Taste-wise is nice however some would say it's a bit on the sweeter side. Portions are big for certain dishes like the noodles, always order smaller size and share out, otherwise you end up packing home the leftovers. Charges are reasonable (we feel) for the portion sizes.

Parking is a killer though, and I would not say this venue is friendly to elder folk. Limited parking lots available, and the distance from car park to the dining place is some walking, which is okay for us but some elders may struggle with the uneven surface. It's open air concept and we got splattered by rain whenever there was a strong breeze blowing in the rain, so be prepared to get slightly wet.

However the environment surrounded by nature is amazing 👏 Seeing the wild life around like birds and goodness whatever swimming in the nearby water is like reality National Geographic show. My visit to Grandma's Restaurant in Sasaran was a heartwarming and delightful experience. The moment I walked in, I was welcomed by a nostalgic ambiance that felt just like stepping into my grandma's kitchen. The cozy decor and friendly atmosphere made me feel right at home.

Excellent service, efficient and attentive, which is really appreciated in Malaysia where it can sometimes be hit or miss. (No matter the country actually)😅

Our waiter guided us perfectly with detailed recommendations and explanations that were spot on. We enjoyed delicious clams, shrimp, and squid paired with two signature drinks while waiting for our boat to Sky Mirror.

The setting was quite nice with a natural show unfolding before us (egrets performing an elegant flying ballet while others engaged in dramatic bickering in the trees). Lunch with entertainment included! 😄

The pace here is much more relaxed than KL, perfect for a weekend getaway after the hustle and bustle of city life and highways. It's an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy the slower, more tranquil coastal rhythm. Highly recommended for the quality cuisine, excellent service, and this unique ambiance surrounded by nature!
