Leong Kei Fukien Mee/Pepper Meehoon Soup — Restaurant in Selangor

this restaurant actually it's a old name and of course it's famous for its mee which uses the charcoal to cook. These are old traditional method and it's more tastier than you expect, This is what we ordered.

1.) Fried Kuey Teow 2.) Pepper Soup with Vermicelli 3.) Hokkien Mee 4.) Fried Cabbage 5.) 100 Plus + Drinho Chrysanthemum Drink

We have to sit outside the restaurant. Luckily the weather is good and no rain on that day. The first dish which came to us is the Fried Kuey Teow. It's one of the best dishes that you should order here. There's something special about it is that there's a egg yolk on top the of the mee and you have to stir it to mix it with the Kuey Teow. Yummy! A must ordered when you are here. Next another signature dish which is the pepper soup with vermicelli. The soup is not very spicy and hot but still it's best to eat too. You can either order the soup alone or with the vermicelli. Yummy too! Next is the Hokkien Mee. This restaurant also serves the best Hokkien Mee in Tanjung Malim and you should order it too. The Fried Cabbage meanwhile is also a must try at this restaurant as it's very nice. It's fresh and there's some spicy taste too. It uses the 'chilli padi' to fried with the cabbage and it's very nice. Also not forgetting the home mad chilli paste which I would say is best and suitable to eat together with fried mee. A relative recommend. Easy to find but not easy to park since along a busy road. Old house converted to a shop. Sit inside a dim shop or outside under the moon, if no rain. Cook using charcoal. Order the signature pepper bee hon, yut Kong hor and hokkien mee. Bee hon a disappointment. Just bee hon soup add a lot of pepper. Nothing special. Yut Kong hor fare better but not much ingredient. Hokkien mee high expectation but so so. Added one kong fu bee hoon. Just normal. Service ok but very pricey rm92 for 4 plates if noddles. Not worth the detouring from NSE. 古早味十足的小炒。Not to be missed everytime when passby Tanjung Malim. Charcoal stir fry noodles and vegetables with fragrant pork lards. Moonlight noodles (月光河) and stir-fry cabbage(炒虾米包菜) is a must to order. Although Pepper Mihun is their signature but maybe not everyone likes the spice however it’s still a delicious dishes. 3pax with 3 dishes, just nice for the portion. Hokkien Mee is taste good too if still have quota to try.

Just a cons is environment hygiene due to it’s an old building with nostalgic look. Toilet is a first thing need to be improve.
