Restoran Lau Kee — Restaurant in Selangor

On the 20th of July 2024 we (My family and I) celebrated my sister's 21st birthday. We invited 55 guests and was put in a small room to accommodated 5 tables. One table had around 10-11 peoples. The food that we ordered are as below: (-ikan tiga rasa, babi cili kering, sweet sour chicken, white rice, vege, claypot taufu (vege), butter prawn + complimentary fruit (watermelon)) The food was amazing!!!! They even allowed us to come in early to put in decorations. The room also had blinds covering doors and windows for privacy (in our case dancing). Not to forget they also provide a Bluetooth speaker which made the experience even better. The service is also immaculate, food arrived on time and we loved the way the food was delivered at every tables at once. Our total cost for 5 tables was RM2K++ which is quite reasonable considering we ordered fish, prawn, meat and etc. Despite their closing time at 10:30pm it was hard to end the party at the exact time, forcing us to drag the party until 11pm and they did not charge us extra or gave us any unwelcoming looks. Overall a really good experience. Would definitely recommend to others to celebrate your/their birthday...

A big restaurant in a small town. Restaurant is not busy as we reached around 11ish. They open at 11am. Spacious with 30+ tables, probably more upon request. Booked a table for 11 person and everyone sat comfortably.

Dishes were on the larger side. 👍🏼

Deer meat - tough, very tough not tender at all. But tasty nonetheless.

Soy sauce Steam fish (grass carp belly)- very fresh and tasty.

Ginger steam fish (grass carp head) - liked the ginger sauce 👍🏼 very fresh as well.

Bitter gourd Malay chicken - flavorful and tasty.

Assam sotong - dry assam, savory 👍🏼

Belacan kangkung - yums! El dente.. crunchy.

Fu Yue yau mak - very nice

Onion fried egg - nothing to shout about

Place is divided into 2 sections, AC and without. AC is very cooling even on a hot day. Parking was very easy as there is an empty land right next to the restaurant. Service was fast. Vegetable dishes RM25 each, 1.8kg Fish 2 way for RM150, Malay chicken RM90, deer meat RM40, egg RM24.. total bill with 3 large beers RM499 for 11 pax (0423)

Will return to order more fish 👍🏼 and...

Food us overall good, not until we spotted a steel brush debris 😅 Not pet friendly, we place our dog at the parking compound and one chinese guy was complaining, looks like its a side store operator within the premise. So we ended up loading our dog into the car while we quickly eat n go. He was complainting what if a hygiene agency ppl come, my dog was place out side the premise next to my car and 2 cars away was a stray dog that seems to feed by the restaurant guys. Couldnt find his comment to make sense. Definately a show stopper if...
