My uncle introduced my dad to this restaurant, and my dad couldn't stop raving about their Sultan fish (ikan jelawat), so he brought us here. The owner is welcoming and offered some great recommendations. It was my first time trying Sultan fish. The texture of the fish is very good, and the belly part was pleasantly chewy with no unpleasant odor. However, it lacked that distinct “fish taste”, which was surprising. All the dishes we ordered were well-prepared, and I particularly enjoyed the tofu in gravy. The prices are reasonable and overall the food here is...

This is a follow up review after 3rd visit. The first time was great so brought friends to eat. Drove all the way to be served "loko" sultan fish. When asked why the quality is different from previous, he says it's like that and some people like it this way. This means they don't have quality control and will serve you whatever there is. The cook also lacks experience in handling river fish. Does not meet the marketing...

If you are driving on the way from Singapore or Kuala Lumpur to Ipoh, this restaurant is worth a visit for a very good lunch at very reasonable prices. The food is excellent. I called to reserve a soon hock fish few days ago , to have lunch here before check in to Beacon resort , actually they specialize in Empurau fish ( that I didn’t know ) now got promotion 1kg rm680 , need to reserve 3 days before . Friendly owner , restaurant corner shop and got air conditioning make it pleasant to dine in
