Salwa Kitchen Chinese Muslim Cuisine in Puncak Alam is generally very well-regarded. It’s praised for a diverse menu, good value, clean setting, and strong reputation. Many dishes get rave reviews, especially for flavor.
However, like any eatery, there are touches to improve: consistency in texture/juiciness, balancing saltiness, portion sizes for “extras,” and sound control in the dining area.
If you dine there, trying core signature items (chicken rice, Mee Kolok, Sarawak laksa) is a safe bet, while being cautious about newer or specialty items that others felt were hit-or-miss.

Peesonal experience - the fried rice (belacan beef and egg prawn) were a bit bland in tast but portion is good. The belacan sauce given has started to turn bad.. berbuih and bau dah start to turn bad. Signature wonton and roasted chicken rice sedap! Belacan beef fried rice took quite sometime untuk siap.. tapi yang lain malanan semua siap dalam kadar yang bagus. Price very affordable. Kami makan semua RM58.70. Sila lihat gambar untuk pesanan...
Read moreToo overpriced for a very average chicken rice. I've been charged RM93 just for only 3 set of chicken rice, mee sua soup, combo kids, 3 milkshake and 3 cold water. Extra RM2 if you request mayonnaise (do you expect all 4 years child can have chilli sauce?)
Please don't play Qur'an audio because there is certain adab while listening to Qur'an. I can't have a conversation with my wife and kids to respect the recitation. If zikir or selawat should be ok.
Since they are promoting Chinese Food, it's very disappointed they only have chicken rice as Chinese food and local Sarawak food which not even Chinese. We are Malay family sometime we would like to change our meals. We are very excited to know there is a Chinese Muslim food but it was a disappointment.
Not to bring the business down but this restaurant really need to do massive improvement...
Read moreTried a variety of dishes here, including Stir Fry Spicy Prawn Chicken with Rice, Roasted Chicken Rice, Mee Pan Wonton, and Pak Choy. Overall, the food was delicious, and with the affordable prices, it’s definitely worth coming here for lunch.
However, I have to highlight the Roasted Chicken Rice. While the flavor was there, the texture was not the best. It wasn’t hard, but chewing it required extra effort, making my jaw feel a bit tired. The meat was dense, not very juicy, and slightly difficult to bite through, which made it less enjoyable to eat.
Aside from that, everything else about the food was great. One thing to note, though—if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing meal, this might not be the best place. The noise inside tends to echo, making it quite loud, even when there aren’t many...
