Western Food Uptown 1038 — Restaurant in Selangor

Just went this place for buka puasa. I seldomly do review, but this place requires an honest review.

1. Very slow services. All customer came with reservation means owner knows all the order in advance. Yet we only get all our food at 8pm. Poor management. Luckily air dah sampai siap- siap. Boleh la minum sambil redakan hati yang panas. Tu pun makanan sampai, air dah habis.

We came for buka puasa, my expectation was all ordered food will be ready ( at least 50% of it la) but hell no. Baru nak buat yaa semua. I tried to complain, but no one was listening. Even yang order semalam pun makanan tak sampai2. ( true story, coz my dad tired tunggu makanan, then he went for smoke outside sambil tu sembang2 kat luar).

2. I ordered 3 sets of mushroom soup. Told ya, the service was damn slow. The mushroom soup came out one by one ( not at the same time). They said " baru nak buat" which is stupid excuse. On top of that, the amount of soup is like 1/4 of the bowl. Not even a half! 5 suap dah habis weh. I siap count berapa sudu. Plus served cold. Kalau baru buat, kenapa sejuk?

3. My toddler's food was the last food arrived. PITY HER, wanted to enjoy her food, but need to let her makan cepat2 coz we need to perform maghrib.. its already 8.15pm that time.

4. Too crowded and very poor ventilation. Once you masuk kedai, rasa bahang dapur tu. Bau masakan pun memang habis melekat dekat baju. I came with baby and my eczema toddler, definitely not an ideal place for them. ( pergi sebab ada aircond, last2 aircond tak rasa, kipas pun tak rasa). Habis tissue buat lap peluh.

5. During payment, baru nak cari order slip then tekan tekan calculator. Weh ramai beratur nak bayar, dengan nak kejar maghrib lagi. You can kira in advance per order slip and just kira for those that have any additional orders. I was frustrated, rasa muka xboleh nak control dah. Why? Bila you baru nak kira, you boleh salah kira, then customer boleh salah bayar. On top of that, customer kena beratur lama. Sangat2 tak efficient.

6. We liked the food, but the service? Maybe I will opt to the other better option. Pilih kedai ni sebab dekat dengan rumah. Can't imagine for those yg datang jauh2 untuk bukak puasa. I sampai ajak my mom to cancel the order and go to the nearest...

Overall, this restaurant is great, and all the food is delicious. Just hoping they can improve the serving process a bit. It would be better if they prepared orders by table so that the whole family can eat together. Even if they follow the menu sequence, maybe they could speed up the serving time.

Sometimes, one dish like chicken chop is prepared in batches, while another dish like spaghetti arrives 20 minutes later. It feels unfair for those who came early and had to wait while other tables got their food first. Hopefully, there will be some improvements because honestly, the food is...

The potion of food is good. The price also affordable. The chicken chop size is bigger than I thought. I like the black pepper sauce and it tastes so good. I also have try the beef mushroom sizzling. The taste is so so. the thickness of beef is very thick. In my opinion this shop most underrated western I ever seen in Bukit Beruntung. Very recommended. Surely will repeat again for...
