I encountered this ayam gepuk store as I was around Selayang and when entering, the environment welcomed me with brightness and comfortability. I ordered myself a plate of ayam gepuk along side some fried tempeh and tofu. The chicken was very juicy and tasty but the star of the meal was definitely the sambal (aka the chilli paste) as it took me by surprise. The spicy chillies paired with a very creamy and delectable cashew nut sauce gave it a very satisfying taste and texture to the whole dish. Came at 11.25 am and the front door is already opened. When i went to the front counter to order, I was told that they won’t be taking order as the shop opens at 11.30 am. The manner the cashier is talking to me also is very rude and kept on playing his handphone when talking to me. At least he could ask me to sit at the table first and will come and take the order as it’s only 5 minutes before shop opening. I always order through Shopee Food, but today I decided to walk in and order takeaway from this outlet. The service was very fast, and the dining environment looked great.
