Ra-FT has several locations throughout Klang Valley and one of my favorites is the one in Sungai Buloh. Located in high-end residential area of Sierramas, the cafe/bistro serves a good selection of breakfast options to the neighbourhood and those who do not mind driving all the way (like me 😅). They used to have an outlet in Mutiara Damansara but have since closed down permanently.

Ra-FT occupies a spacious space on the first floor of a building, and is surrounded by greeneries all around. Dining here gives me a feel of serenity and calmness.

◾Ra-FT Crown BLT - imagine pork bacon, sunny-side-up, smashed avocado and cheddar sandwiched in between multigrain bread and topped further with a crispy cheese crown. Salad on the side. Lovely presented and I had to break the cheese as my mouth could not fit everything in one bite. ◾Ra-FT Breakfast - Italian style pork (or chicken) sausage, pork bacon, scrambled eggs, smashed potatoes, baked beans, sauteed mushrooms, roasted tomatoes & toasted multigrain bread. The plate can easily be shared between two small eaters (like us) although I could use more bacon 😂 ◾ House cured salmon - it took a bite to light up her eyes like Bambi. "One of the best cured salmon" she claimed. I agreed. ◾Coffee - gotta love their coffee art and of course, the quality of their beans that used to make my long black or her flat white.

For now I only go there for breakfast, but their all-day menu looks quite promising with some Asian fares, sandwiches & burgers, pastas, as well as meats making up their entire offering.

When the weather was not as hot as recently, I love to be seated outside and enjoyed the morning weather. Service as per Ra-FT standard, quite prompt and efficient. Parking was free and easy depending on the...

The cafe is on the first floor so I’m not sure if they have solutions for those with impaired mobility. You have to climb a flight of stairs. Our server greeted us at the door and ushered us to our table. Friendly and polite service. The cafe had a cozy laidback vibe with lots of plants. There were indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered carbonara, bread basket and lasagna. The lasagna was very good, pasta cooked thoroughly and nice blend of mince and tomato with beschamel. The bread basket was surprisingly huge and came with 3 nice dips of balsamic vinaigrette, pesto and hummus. Breads were toasted and smelled wonderful and had a nice crunch. Unfortunately the carbonara was a miss this time. The egg was supposed to be cook just right to give it a creamy texture but this time, overcooked to the point that it became scrambled eggs. I really enjoyed the ambience and truly appreciate the superb service by the crew — everyone was friendly and attentive. However, there’s definitely room for improvement when it comes to the food.

The chicken strips in my pita bread tasted like they had been stored in the fridge for a while — the texture wasn’t tender at all (if you know, you know 😬).

My daughter had the kids’ meal. The side dishes were actually pretty good, but the chicken nuggets were a letdown. Instead of a golden brown, they came out quite dark — possibly over-fried. We do appreciate that they seemed to be homemade rather than frozen, which is a nice touch, but unfortunately, the nuggets also had a bit of a smell, likely from being stored too long.

Will I come again ? Answer is yes ! For the coffee and probably the cake never for any...
