MZ Cafe Bangi — Restaurant in Sepang

Don’t waste your money & time at this restaurant. This is not a cafe standard, infact it is a restaurant. Im not here to explain the difference between cafe & restaurant.

Great concept, unfortunately extremely POORLY EXECUTED. The place are huge and can be seated a big number of patrons. Decoration are nice. White western concept meet local. They even have a row of huts named after state in Malaysia if the customer choose to seat on the floor. Place are huge but they are not prepared to cater for a large number of customer.

Hence, the waiting time for your meal to be served are extremely painful. I saw a table where their 3 kids already fall asleep waiting for the food. A plan for a nice dining out turn into a disaster.

Server are abundant but the meal preparation time does not meet the standard. The owner should hire more cook.

FOOD ARE TERRIBLE. The waiter suggest us to order western food if we dont’t want to wait for a long time. If you not able to provide good service + good food, reduce the menu options. Don’t be greedy trying to offer almost everything on the menu but can’t provide quality service and good food. Variety menu but a lot are not available.

At the end of the restaurant, there is a hall for a wedding. Anyone thinking to organize a wedding here, think twice.

This place is a definition of the owner want to create something fancy and glamorous and then just leave it to his untrained & not well experienced staff to operate a big restaurant. And the owner just see the outcome without concern or care for what is happening on the ground. In other words doesn’t care about their customer. A total rip-off.

DEFINITELY NOT A PLACE TO TAKE YOUR FAMILY OUTING FOR DINNER.

Please read the low reviews because they’re still true till today. I had dinner here and from start to finish, it was disappointing.

It was our first time, so we didn’t know how to place orders. The waiter looked annoyed when he had to explain. Food was just okay — luckily it came out fast, probably because it was payday week and they were prepared. At least all menu items were available, unlike what some reviewers said about waiting an hour only to be told things weren’t available.

What really pissed me off was when we had leftovers we wanted to pack. My mom called the waiter — they saw us but ignored us. We waited 15–20 minutes, even though we were seated right next to them while they just stood around waiting for new customers.

I finally went over myself, and this makcik with spectacles told me we had to bring our food to the counter to be packed. Honestly, I was speechless — never in any proper restaurant (other than fast food) do customers have to carry their own leftovers to the counter.

Still, I did it. I brought the food to the counter and stood there because I didn’t want them later saying I had to collect it myself. Another waiter looked annoyed that I was waiting and told his colleague to just pack the food.
