Gave this a try after dozens of times going through this shop.
A bit disappointed. Thought it was superb from the line each time I'm going through this route.
Apparently just mediocre from my experience.
Nasi Kerabu Daging Bakar + Telur Masin + Akok + Pulut Panggang
Nasi Kerabu Daging Bakar = RM9 Salted Egg (Half) = RM2.50
The price is quite steep for a roadside shop selling Nasi Kerabu. RM9 for nasi kerabu daging bakar, and Rm2.50 for half salted egg?
Not to mention, the keropok didn't came included as well. You need to buy a pretty huge pack (enough for 3+4 pax) Seperately.
Total my purchase was RM19 including 3 Akok and 1 Pulut Panggang. So, around rm7.50 for assorted Kuih. Pretty steep if you ask me.
And their grilled meat? A bit too cheewy from my opinion. Fortunately, other than the grilled meat their Nasi Kerabu was quite decent.
Good Sambal Tumis, and good meat flavour. Just, the texture of their meat was subpar experience. The portion was plenty as well like you could see in the pictures below.
If not for the price, I would probably go give it another chance for different dish like grilled chicken and fried fish, or...
Read moreTheir food quality are not consistent. The taste is good but sometimes, the chickens were not fresh and tasted like they cooked the spoiled chicken (the 1 I took today morning at 7.15 a.m., 12th June 2020 on Friday was 'ayam kampung' with nasi dagang. Nasi dagang had no issue at all.
This is where their main fault, the cleanliness. Today, 12th June 2020 was my first time I eat in (dine in) in this stall. The washing basin was so dirty which I not keen to take a picture. But I take the picture of the table corner nearby the drink maker station instead which was less dirty (still not clean).
I used to take away last several times for their 'Nasi kerabu' and the taste were exceptional for me, which was good enough.
I do really hope the next time I come here again, they can manage their stall cleanliness far more better or it will be the last for me & several other customers. Which is for me, every customer...
Read moreI am a big fan of Nasi Kerabu because of how it compliments all food nutrients that we need & I know that I just had to visit this restaurant as I saw a long queue as I drove passed this area a week ago. I’ve seen good reviews about this place too so I gave it a try & I love love it. Had Nasi Kerabu + Ayam Bakar Madu + Daging Bakar and it costed me around RM23.
The portion was rather big & the taste was truly up to my liking as a pantai timur girlie! and I love the fact that they’re using lots of traditional greeens and not mainly cabbages. I love the chicken, it was so tender & fresh! The beef was delicious & tender too but I personally think chicken beef.
The lady who served me was so kind as well, attending to my requests here and there. Hope to be back and try their other dishes...
