Utan Cafe — Restaurant in Sepang

First arrived at this place, it has a killer view. The ambience was really nice to have meal with family and kids. Unfortunately, view alone is never enough to compensate the slow service this restaurant has provided. We noticed a customer from other table had to go to the drink station itself and take their drinks there. Waiters here are slow and they were not proactive to accommodate customer’s need promptly. Please be mindful there were only handful of customers here during this time. We also asked if the fan can be switched on, but the waiter said there was a switch problem thus fans were unable to open. In this case, maintenance weren’t really well managed. Any good service within FnB would provide fast service and good facilities for customer. Unfortunately this were not the quality that was adhered by this restaurant. The food was pleasant. Their daging salai was fantastic. Food was suitable for individual of all ages. But when asked for addition to their sotong goreng tepung, the waiter simply said it was finished. Which was, disappointing since there was no courtesy of an apology followed by our request. We hope our comment here serve as as constructive criticism. We humbly saw strong potential in this restaurant in both food and service , we hope it’ll provide better service in the future and looking forward to try it...

Oh boy lemme tell you, this place has amazing food! Ordered a meal set for 4 but the three of us sweeped the whole thing clean!

My dad was complaining the whole way there because the place is damn far and we had to go through a roadblock, but once the food arrives he was so busy enjoying his food, no more complaints was heard, up until we got back home lmaoooo. Also, for the first time ever, my mother who eats small amounts of rice whenever we eat outside, grabbed a second serving when the Sambal Udang came. She never ever ever ever does this, as far as i can remember, unless when we're eating at home.

Food took a while to arrive but it was worth the wait lol! Price is also quite reasonable. Lauk portion is great, but I kinda wished they could give more rice, we didn't have enough rice lmao😅

5/5. Definitely will go again to try their specialty, Lobster and Alaskan King Crab.

Good food, nice place, but the service is a bit frustrating. The waiters (all of the staff+waiter) were all standing at the entrance area where its hidden, and unfortunately for customer who seated a bit far back, where the waiters weren't in the view, they wont see that the customers were calling them for assistance. So as a solution, customer need to walk to them to ask for assistance. This is troublesome as customer shouldn't be walking back and forward to the waiter. Plus, the waiter forgot to ordered one of the dish that we ordered. When i went to ask where the dish is, he ask one of the staff, and she said they haven't made it, my family already finished eating most of our food 🤦 they didn't even apologize to us. Tips for those who wanted to eat here, ask the waiter to repeat your order and sat near to them 🙄 two stars because of the good food, but lost three stars as the customer...
