Nostalgia overload! Came for the legendary root beer 🍺—still icy, fizzy perfection after all these years. Ordered the fried chicken (solid 7/10, better than most fast-food joints!) and paired it with that sweet, sweet root beer. Felt like a time machine to my ’90s kid self 🕰️👧.

The Bear Deal: Snagged their cute promo bear 🧸—minimum RM25 spend + RM20 top-up. Totally worth it for the souvenir vibes!

Downsides? Service was slower than a dial-up modem 📞🐢 (blame the lunch rush!), but staff stayed friendly.

Verdict: 8/10—Go for the vibes, stay for the root beer! Not perfect, but A&W’s throwback charm always hits right.

Worst A&W restaurant ever!

I came to A&W Seksyen 18 Shah Alam today, secured my order at 7.49pm and still havent receive 2 burgers & 3 spicy chickens yet at 8.28pm (more than half an hour!) as i am writing this review. The place is not even half-filled with customers.

This waiting time is definitely not acceptable for a fast food restaurant.😠

If the owner is not doing something about this, then it’s giving a very bad reputation to A&W brand overall.

P/S: finally bungkus the chickens as it was ready...

3 days in a row, the staff stop taking orders from customers at 7:30pm, the worst staff I've encountered from a fast food restaurant, put a sign at door, is that too difficult, a customer scans, goes in to be told, no more orders, stupidity come's from inefficient management, please learn from your Subang Jaya restaurant, more than 30 years being their customer, not once have I encountered this sort of thing, shape up for...
