Polperro Steak House Seksyen 18 Shah Alam — Restaurant in Shah Alam

My expectation is rather high. And my experience says the other way around. My first time visiting this outlet. And wondering why the were so many people, everyday. What so good about them? So it's my turn to check.

For the dish, (I reached there around 9 pm on weekdays) and more than 50% of the menu were all gone. Habis. Yilek. I was like "What???". So the menu for me was limited that time.

Their steak was too thin. I know they want to sell it cheap but end up not giving us the best steak. I would rather pay little bit more and get a better steak. Taste wise is good. And it has been localized I belief. (colorful taste compare to the original western sombre taste. Sorry but true).

Price is very reasonably accepted but like I said, the steak was too thin. But big portion of chicken chop.

Cleanliness can be questioned. There was a big waist high green garbage bin right in the middle, although attached to a pillar and next to washing basin, its still not NOT NOT PROPER. Table was not really cleaned, same goes to the floor and I don't want to get a shock by visiting the rest room, so I better not to visit.

Customer service? Yes, I need to highlight this. It's BAD. The staff seemed to be so tired as I count there were only 2 of them serving and entertain customer. So they are too tired, they can't greet us and can't even smile at us. Not their fault but it's management's fault. I raised my hand few time but no one came to me. Then I have to get up and approach them just to order. Later they gave me a qr code where I need to order using my mobile phone. Ok, quite IT updated but don't wait till customer ask and get up. That was BAD.

Overall - It was far from my expectation in terms of everything. The name doesn't match with what they deliver.

They just biasa biasa aje. And I've better steak experience and friendly service from road side stall. Yes.

Oh ya. The fish and chips was a total disaster. Too salty even for me "yg kuat makan garam". My son can't eat it. My wife and everyone else can't eat as well. It's just too salty for them.

I ordered spaghetti carbonara with bread and it came like the pic..the taste was horrible..no salt and the sauce was fully tasteless. The bread was a cut piece of burger bun and was fried one sided on oily dark pan. I ordered (Teh o ice) ice tea but came Ice lemon tea. Service was the worst part in this place. Waiters use phone while guest are calling for so long. While there is lot of customer though maximum waiters went to have their break meals in one shot and left one waiter to take care the whole floor. They hardly understand English and they r understanding it or not that also very confusing. Their rice and chicken menu looks nice though. Their attention level to the guests is 2 out of 10. Overall its the expected service what I paid as a service charge, no such thing...
