Been visiting this place for number of years now. Every time, whether we come in with own family members or we brought along few relatives occasionally, the only feeling we and our guests got entering this place is as if going to the fish market, with noisy crowd, kids been made seated on the chairs with their shoes on, kids screaming, playing and running over places as if the whole place is a playing ground rather. Not a conducive eatery place at all. We spoken this matter out to the restaurant's owner with feedback to control the noise made by his customers and their kids. Unfortunately, he took the matter very lightly and arrogantly said we should visit hotels instead for a silent environment. He also said, he made the place cosy looking, but he feels disgusted when people wearing sarung, probably from the mosque nearby, went there for a meal. We are surprised at the way of his thinking, he felt disgusted with those who went there just with sarungs on perhaps upon completion of prayers who could be eating silently in a well behaved manner, but he has no concern with the noisy crowd, irresponsible parents and hyper-active kids just because these noisy customers of his contributed to his profit, yes but you shall soon starts to shrink rather not growing with this type of service. Our message to the owner was to cultivate the right manners among the customers as if he's having a few of the uncivilised customers, there are also people visiting his place with good manners.
Also, we are shocked at the rude response by the owner on customers who had bad experiences at his place. Would suggest a newbie or those with sarungs on to stay away from this place but treat yourself with a good eatery experience elsewhere rather. You'll be here just to witness the noise of a night fish market in a setting of so-called cosy restaurant as claimed by the...
Read moreBeen here via a recommendation of a friend. Coming in 4pax but my friend (who recommended to come this restaurant) made a twist at the last minute. He didn't join us sharing the "big tray". He did convinced 3 of us to try the signature dish of that "big tray" saying that we could finish it at once. While waiting the "big tray" to serve on the table, 3 of us order 3 additional side dishes which was lamb soup. Definitely worth to try. The soup quite thick and the muttons very soft and so juicy. The strong mutton taste not too obvious. Senseless. The "big tray" we chose was "combo A-Lamb & Chicken" served with 3 types of rice (Mandy, Maqlubah and Kabsyah) and completed with a jug of water (Iced Lemon Syrup 🍋). Perfectly taste. So good and tasty. Everything. Just authentic. Undoubtedly would be one of the best Arabian Rice I've ever tasted so far. In term of pricing was reasonable as compared to portion of the "big tray" actually can afford another 2 pax for those who are coming in a moderate "eating desire" . The ambience and the seatings very good too. Craving for delicious Arabic Cuisine? Come here...
Read moreWent here in a group of 5 adults and 3 children for dinner. We ordered Nasi Arab Mandy Kambing, along with Baklava and Air Bandung. I ordered Tea with milk but they don't have it, so they offered me Teh Tarik, which I agreed. The food arrived within 5 to 6 minutes, and it was fast considering the restaurant was almost full house. The service people to me is ok and they like to offer smiles to patrons. The meals: the rice was succulent, can taste all the spices; the lamb was very tender; air Bandung was like homemade and the taste reminds me very much of buka puasa time; Baklava was great also; Teh Tarik was an exception as the taste was like regular teh tarik mamak, and I am not a big fan to this type of Teh Tarik. The price was reasonable. The ambient was like somewhere in Arab that I used to watch in movies, love it. The aroma of the restaurant reminded me of restaurants in Kashmir. Great experience dining in...
