If there is zero star, I would have done so. Throughout my dining experiences whether locally or abroad I have never come across a restaurant that is so arrogant & treating customers like pariah even though they made a mistake. We pre-booked, pre-ordered, came early as requested & yet we waited for 2 hours despite us reminding the waiter 3 times. Each time we were just brushed off with the standard ‘wait, they are cooking now, coming…’. We patiently waited like fools thinking they did check with the kitchen. All those who came later were already served & some even finished & we were still waiting. We finally confronted the owner & his son only to find out they missed out our order. However there was not a word of apology from the owner. When we raised our unhappiness, he cut us off not allowing us to finish what we have to say. It is as though we are wasting his time. He actually gave us a choice of either go back to our table to have our dinner or we can choose to leave. The last straw was when he called my son ‘bastard’ in Cantonese & was extremely sarcastic thanking us with a fake smile showing us the way out. This is totally unacceptable. We canceled our CNY reunion dinner booking immediately. I guess it makes no difference as the owner obviously doesn’t care about customer service or build loyalty since he is king & he has many other customers who are willing to wait & queue. In all fairness the owner’s wife & son were apologetic but the damage was done by the owner. I will make sure I share this with everyone I know. Never dine at F4 Fish Head Restaurant anymore unless you don’t mind putting up with...

Before you get the notion of this restaurant named after the famous ex-Taiwanese boyband F4, it's not. On why the named the restaurant this way - your guess is as good as mine. The proprietor used to operate at Chan Sow Lin, one time had the most concentration of steamed song fish head places in town.. before moving to Subang Jaya.
Can't deny that the name is quite catchy - eh! Where do you want to eat? Let's go F4 😅 if you're not familiar with the industrial park, it can be quite daunting to search. But thanks to GPS, the task is made easier these days. A very spacious restaurant - I must say that the space is as big as an event hall - that is doong good business when I visited it with my business partner and his team one fine day.
◾steamed fish head with ginger sauce - using song fish head (or Asian carp fish), it was served laced generously with minced ginger sauce and garnished with spring onions. ◾Kung bao mantis shrimp - one of the better Kung bao sauce that I'd ever tasted coating the crispy batter. ◾sweet & sour pork - classic Chinese dish justified! ◾fried beancurd with minced meat - the minced meat was quite flavourful provided much needed taste to the otherwise bland yet crispy beancurd. ◾stir fried green dragon vegetable - customary plate of green on the table.
Service was quite efficient despite the huge space, but finding a table .. therein lies the rub!
I was informed that the weekend crowds are crazy and it's almost impossible to get a table if you come late. Weekdays are more bearable as they serve mainly the working crowds and business owners...

Some service lapses but there generally is a shortage of service staff in restaurants. Here, 5-6 service staff were rushing across 15-20 tables. So it’s good to be understanding and a little more tolerant than...
