We had dinner to celebrate my Father in laws birthday.
Food ordered was the following:- Coban salad - well balanced flavor of sweet & sour dressing but somehow had too much onions in it. Although I love onions but I reckon the one served to our table had too much of it that some of us didn't appreciate the otherwise excellent salad. Muhammara (NOT SUITABLE FOR THOSE WHO ARE ALLERGIC TO NUTS!) - cold dip was good and nutty. Not too spicy even though it had chilli. The bread that accompanied the dip was fresh and soft but I would have preferred it served warm. Easily a good meal on its own even though it's an appetizer. Adana kebab - the lamb meat was very well marinated and cooked. End result was a tasty and juicy kebab meat. The accompanied sauce was a red sauce (slightly spicy) which added flavor to the meat, and what I assume is yoghurt/sour cream dip. Margherita pizza - I wouldn't order pizza when I dine at a Turkish restaurant. I'd rather enjoy some good Turkish food instead. 5. Shwarma - 4 orders of this dish and they all enjoyed it. Turkish coffee - Expected it to be strong coffee but it wasn't. Very pleasant tasting on its own even without sugar. Loved the beatiful tiny coffee cup!
Service personnel - When we came in noone greeted us but they stood by and looked at us walk in 🤷♂️. The same as we walked out - noone said goodbye or thank you. Cashier was a bit tight faced. Communication was very limited but they understood our requests for a few things. I suggest that serving personnel be a little bit more pleasant and friendlier towards guests. That would make them appreciate you more and have a reason to come back again in the near future. Good for the business too. Cleanliness - very clean except for a dead cockroach in the scupple drain near the back exit/entrance door. Ambiance -nice and quiet environment for diners to enjoy food, drinks and a chat. Thank God for not playing loud blaring music. It was a bit warm though at our table as the aircond was not powerful enough.
Overall verdict - good place to dine as it is not crowded. Good tasting food. Value for money. Worthy of another few visits to try out the rest of the other dishes. I look forward to coming back again soon.

Read moreThe ambiance was lovely with cushioned wood chairs and light jazz music playing in the back ground.
We ordered the hummus which had a thick and rough texture but captured the flavour profiles well. The bread was excellent. Well split to have a slight crispy areas while remaining fluffy. One of the best breads I've had in middle eastern food.
The Lamb Kabsa however was quite bland, it felt like just lamb stewed in light salt over a long period of time, it really lacked the spices or even simple onions I would expect in this dish. The rice while vibrantly coloured and smelled fragrant also lacked any depth of flavour to match.
The Chicken Mendi rice was surprisingly more flavourful than than the Kabsah. But the chicken... It would have passed of as a tomato carrot stewed chicken at a country western place and I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference.
The free drink was pomegranate which was a sour version of it but ok in sips.
The rice dishes were really disappointing and the main reason it was overall a let down. I do hope they can improve in this area as they really have the rest down right with service...
Read moreFirst things first: The atmosphere is like semi fine dining. The interior decor is soothing and luxurious. They played jazz music in the background and it was lovely.
The food: We ordered Bakhtiari Kebab (beef) and Mix Koobideh (lamb and chicken). The grilled meats were great. Their shining glory, though, is the rice! Basmati rice that was so soft and fluffy. It was cooked with butter and saffron. We would come back just to eat their rice again. And their garlic sauce was good too; chilli was a bit spicy but alright.
The drinks: We ordered saffron lemonade and Turkish coffee. The saffron lemonade was the winner; they used sparkling water. The coffee was the only thing we didn’t like. It was like the taste of the water they used kind of ruined the coffee taste. But I loved their tea set! The cup and saucer were adorable.
They gave us ice cream on the house. It wasn’t the best but it wasn’t horrible either.
All in all, we enjoyed our experience and will...
