This place feels authentic Indonesian cuisine. Expect nice spicy sambals, with 22 different type of sambals with different taste. My personal favourite is the Sambal Kedondong, chillies mix together with the kedondong fruit (tahitian apple) such that it has a nice fresh taste, slightly bitter and sour. each rice dish comes with a soup serving, in which it has a deep flavour profile. I have not tried the bakso, but given the side soup is already this delicious, I can imagine how good the bakso will be. The authenticity is also emitted by the ambiance; guests are to sit on the floor, table covered with Indonesian newspapers, walls decorated with famous Indonesian decos. No spice to be found and flavour was average at best. Portions were very good though. Enough rice for days. Pecal was the most upsetting. Had no smell of kencur or asam. Was just nuts and cili. For those with experience in Jogja, give this place a pass. Id rather special sambal. Variety really means variety there. Here their sambal variants just means adding petai or ikan bilis to theire generic sambal ( which has cili sauce in it. Whyyyy????)
