Secret Recipe — Restaurant in Subang Jaya

Came here 40 min before buka puasa and didn't put any high hopes. We were just looking for a place with aircon to chill. But lo and behold, we ordered Hainanese Chicken Chop and it was so good.

We cleaned our plate lol. I've never had it before since I'm more of a grilled chicken kind of person. But amazingly the chicken was moist on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The gravy was good and didn't make the chicken soggy. For a moment me and my wife were eating in dead silence. We were totally immersed with the food. Sounds like exaggerating isn't it but that's what happened hahahaha.

And let me tell you about the service. It is 5 stars from me. The manager Wani really took her time to explain to us about the available menu and cakes since we came late lol. She even decorated our cake with the sweet wishes. Really appreciates her and her team's service.

The shop closed at 10 pm. There were still customer dining there, the staff started to sweep the floor around 9:30pm, I said I'm finishing and leaving soon and only sweep the floor later. She answered me "SINI JAUH SAYA SAPU". She didn't understand the dust in the air and I was very sensitive and allergic to dust.

Second incident I visited on 2/5, I redeemed my Grab voucher here. After the staff, Fatin scanned and redeemed my voucher, she asked me to pay again for what I ordered directly to Secret Recipe. She said their system couldn't key in to the system because the voucher expired on 30/4. But my voucher was valid until 19/5, it was still valid until they scanned, and then it showed used and redeemed. I was totally not happy about it when she asked me to pay again. Now she asked me to dispute to Grab, this is not the customer problem, they should deal with Grab directly as a merchant.

The food was always the best here. Was given quality food and in a resendable amount of time to serve. But the atmosphere there. There are a couple that was talking about something disgusting which ruined my appetite and was so loud about it. No staff took notice of this. The worse was when I was queuing to pay, there was 1 person in front of me and another behind me. The cashier boldly called the person behind me to pay after the person in front of me finish. I was standing there holding out my card and the receipt. After ringing the person, the cashier looks at me and question me if I wanted to pay as well... What's the point of me queuing than if I don't want to pay? common sense please. The attitude as well.
