Aji Aji Seafood — Restaurant in Terengganu

We are greeted well upon entering. Service people are eloquent and alert, ready to take our orders as soon as we make our minds up. Was the 1st to arrive the evening, so we received our food pretty fast. Ordered the set dinner, which is plentiful and satisfying. I like to concept of set option as it made choosing food so much easier. You can also check the fish that are not on the menu. Atmosphere is good in terms of tables and chairs, air-conditioning and decor, but it does have a fly or 2 that keeps coming to our table when the food arrives. I see there is no electronic fly trap being installed or aromatherapy being dispend to discourage flying insects despite being indoor. Since it looks like a new establishment, I hope that moving forward, the management can install these insect control to improve the dining environment, as I do like the food and the service...

Owner really need to consider improving the taste of the food and service. I've seen the reviews here mentioned about the slow service and same goes with me. I came here without reading through the reviews first but if I did, I certainly wouldn't come. The taste of the food was just average, however, tomyam was below average. I don't know if I have a high expectation but for me, it didn't taste good at all. The price was too high and didn't suits with what we ordered. The interior of the restaurant can be improved as well. The tables inside were too big and consume space while didn't serve the look. There's too many improvement that need to be considered if you want the restaurant to sustain. It has good location, spacious, easy parking but they didn't use the advantage well. Aji Aji Seafood is our family's go-to spot for both breakfast and dinner. There aren’t many restaurants that offer a comfortable air-conditioned dining experience here in Besut but Aji Aji certainly solve that issue perfectly with a pleasant ambiance and a well decorated space. I highly recommend for people to order their grouper or red snapper steamed with lime as it is bursting with flavours to tickle your taste buds. As for breakfast, they serve the best Pantai Timur-style nasi kerabu and nasi berlauk. If you're not in the mood for those, they also offer toasted bread with butter and coffee to kickstart your day.
