During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of dining in for breakfast and was promptly served what I can confidently call the best nasi dagang I’ve had in my life. The rice was fragrant and perfectly cooked, with a beautifully balanced richness that showcased the creamy depth of coconut milk without overwhelming the palate. Paired with tender ikang ayer and a classic hard-boiled egg, the dish hit every note just right.

I also sampled the keropok lekor. It was slightly on the pricier side, but well worth it. Crisp on the outside, chewy within, and packed with authentic flavour, it stood out as one of the finest versions I’ve tasted.

Their foamy green tea arrived looking irresistible, but while the presentation was on point, even the “less sweet” version was still too sugary for my palate, a small area for improvement.

And yes, believe it or not!!! I was so impressed that I ordered the exact same menu the very next morning via Grab, delivered straight to my room at the Primula Hotel. Now that’s a breakfast...

Nasi Dagang Atas Tol, Cawangan Padang Negara Visited on 20th Sept 2024

I had the pleasure of trying their nasi dagang, nasi lemak and keropok lekor. The nasi dagang was simply amazing – I've never tasted anything like it! The ayam berempah was juicy and flavorful, making the meal even more satisfying. The food was served hot and fresh, which is always a plus.

One thing to note is the queue – we had to wait almost 30 minutes for one person to place the order, but the family could sit while waiting, and they even provided chairs and stools outside for those waiting for a table. Their system was very organized with separate lanes for takeout and dine-in orders, so despite the crowd, everything moved efficiently.

Once you place your order, the food comes out quickly, and the staff remain friendly and helpful, even with the large number of customers.

Definitely...

Another hotspot worth trying. Although its not recent visit, still I want to share about this place. After several unsuccessful attempts to visit the main restaurant, I decided to check out this outlet instead. It’s definitely important to arrive early. I got there around 7:30 AM and was lucky to find no long queue. They’ve set up separate counters for dine-in and take-out to avoid congestion.

I tried both Nasi Dagang Ikan and Nasi Dagang Ayam Berempah. The rice was aromatic and perfectly cooked, while the chicken was marinated properly. fragrant and juicy. As for the Gulai Ikan, they truly nailed it. No wonder this brand is so highly sought-after for their...

Taste wise good. Soft rice with delicious gravy. Superb good fried chicken & fish N. Dagang. Friendly owner (Pakcik) continue briefing customer for dine in & take away flow. Enough parking space provided. Quite clear instruction on how to order for take away just waiting time to improve. Take away process can be improve by providing fried chicken at take away counter instead of 1 location same with dine in. Customer to cross dine in Q in order to take the fried chicken on their own (an option to choose which part u want) then bring back to take away counter. Will be great if flow can be 1 way.
