Nasi Kukus Sempoi Alias 2 — Restaurant in Terengganu

Its 5. Its a five. Coz i dont think i have ever gave any less than 5 star rating. Or maybe i did. Cant remember. Well maybe that's a topic for another day.

The food is generally good. You'd probably wont regret going here. There are a lot of choices of things that you can eat here. Oh wait. All rice by the way. All rice.

The only thing that i personally hate, like hate hate, about the place is the fact that it causes severe traffic congestion at the main road. The shop owner demolishes available parking lot, within the shop's compund, to make way for more tables ans chairs, and leave the parking for customers at the main roadside (which is wrong by the law, but of course, nobody cares, and the law enforcement officers..well. i dont know. Maybe they did something, maybe they dont, i dont really know. But hey. The shop is making money. So the traffic jem is of no importance. Lol.

But the food is...

As a penangite, I find the nasi kukus here kinda special. Apart from the usual ayam berempah and the curry sauce, sambal and cucumber, it has other dishes kind of making it like nasi berlauk. The ayam berempah was so flavourful, chicken was marinated very well. So tender and juicy. Things that impressed me most is the fact that there is Tempoyak there as one of the condiments apart from the usual budu, belacan and sambal. The tempoyak was actually very savory. Love it. I also like that water is given free via a water dispenser. Very thoughtful.

Many people ordered the teh tarik with ice cream. Basically it's teh tarik topped with some milk tea foam and a teh tarik flavoured ice cream. Frankly it's a little too sweet, but it's too darn good. Especially eaten with hot...

Huge portion of dishes! The self service setting is more like nasi campur station, choices of chicken, beef, fish, cooked veges and ulam.

The size of daging is as big as the rice portion, with a full scoop of tempe bilis and 1 bergedil - only charged for RM9.50

Very clean environment although it was crowded during lunch time. Queue moved quick, drink can be order at the table. Friendly lady staff will approach once u seated, giving the price note.

Parking sign is very clear for those who wish to park behind the building. Otherwise locals mostly do roadside parking along the way.
