If there was a demonstration of "looks is not everything", this is it. The outlet was very brightly lit, had people dining and gave good vibes.

Until you have to actually queue up to order - not only for the celup tepung, but drinks and other dishes as well.

There was only one menu available , at the cashier. And should the customer be indecisive and deliberate on what to order, be prepared to stand in fhe queue like a mannequin standing in a shop window.

When it finally was my turn, i started with : "teh halia satu, teh o limau satu, nescafe ais satu" - which the cashier feverishly punched in the details into the system. She then paused and asked me to repeat.

This went on for 4 rounds, with me finally saying : Teh. Halia. Satu. (Pause 3 seconds) Teh. O. Limau. Ais. (Pause 3 seconds) etc.

She somehow could not comprehend what "teh halia", "teh o limau panas".

I then ordered the mee hoon sup and their spiced chicken rice

A 15 minute wait ensued and the food and drinks arrived.

Teh halia became teh o halia. mee hoon sup, became mee sup.

Taste-wise, all would have been forgiven if every spoonful had set our taste buds exploding like fireworks on the 4th of July.

Sadly, this wasn't it.

The owner (presumably) went around to every table, asking if we got all our food ok..an that saved this review from getting a one star...

Arrive at 8.30pm. Worst restaurant ever. Not even worth 1 star. Never experience this kind of service and quality in my life, this is my first.

No 'lauk' when we arrive but they have celup tepung so we ordered sotong, udang & ikan celup tepung but some of the sotong spoilt and smell very bad. The seafood also not fresh. No rice! We only eat seafood celup tepung with sauce. Not enough plate even tho there's not that many customer. We came (14pax) and need to share the plate together. Worse service. Bad quality. We haven't eat since morning and this is what we get from this restaurant. Came with my family, and it's very disappointing till the point that I don't have the appetite to eat and some of my family member ordered rice from another restaurant just to eat their celup...

We were bought here by some Kuala Terengganu locals, telling us it was a favourite of theirs. After seeing the Kuala Terengganu beaches sadly victim of litter, it was a relief to see beaches clean & cared for. The restaurant itself is very large offering indoor & outdoor dining. Menu options are many, likewise drinks menu. Sit right by the beach & watch the surf waves crash on the shoreline as you enjoy your meal. As other reviewers have stated, there are many opportunities for memorable photos. A light sea breeze makes a meal here even...
