Kunaa cafe & bistro — Restaurant in Felidhu Atoll

My review doesn't reflect the food quality which was okay for the price (in MVR) displayed in the menu. The experience was okay until i went to pay my bill. For context, in the hole island, there is 3 options for card payment : Menu in $/payment in $ OR Menu in MVR/payment in MVR OR Menu in both currencies/payment in both currencies. Here, there was a 4th option: Menu in MVR and payment in dollar with a currency rate choosed by the manager and different from the real rate which was unfair. I had to explain my case for 15 min to all the waitresses, the manager and even the owner that isn't fair. Obviously, that didn't changed their mind. As i was on holiday and didn't want to argue more than that, i finally paid whatever they charged me. It was the first and last time that i went there as there is other options with better value...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kunaa Cafe & Bistro during our stay in Tulidhoo, and I can't recommend it enough!

On our first night, we visited as a group of 11, and the service was impressively quick. The staff was incredibly friendly, making us feel right at home.

The next evening, my husband and I returned for a dinner with our toddler. Once again, we were met with warm smiles and exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our little one was comfortable, even providing complimentary fruit to keep him entertained while we waited for our meals.

We dined in there 3 times. Except breakfast (since it was pre-ordered), the other two times it took more than 1 hr for the food to be served. In addition to this, the first time out of 4 dish, 3 dishes were served after 1 hr 10 mins and the remaining last dish took additional 45 minutes to be served. It looks like either they forgot it or because of the peak hour. If the food were great despite the delay, I would have avoided this review. On a side note, please go through the hygiene level of the glassware, most of the glasses served to us had fungus, do consider this since kids use those glasses as well.
