Arabesque (Ritz Carlton Maldives) — Restaurant in Malé Atoll

Recently dined at Arabesque whilst staying at the Ritz Carlton. It’s an easy 15min complementary boat ride from the resort.

Highly recommend you book in advance as it is a smaller restaurant and there weren’t many free tables on that evening that we were there.

Decor is great just as you can see in the pictures with a good area for outdoor dining if the weather permits.

Service and staff were explanatory throughout our stay, some of the best I’ve had at any restaurant.

Food was simpler amazing. Highlight dishes included the truffle hummus, rokakat, chicken tikka with the very best being the Dajaj Maglouba. This is a dish that I wasn’t familiar with but it is a delicious chicken, vegetable rice dish which has the head chef coming out, explaining the dish and during the ‘upside down’ part of the dish.

Should you be staying at Fari Islands, this is a must...

My husband and I ate here twice during our one week stay and I would highly recommend it as the food is spectacular and more than a bit special even though we have eaten quite a lot of Indian and Lebanese food. Recommend you try the Mutabel, the Muahmmara and the Truffle hummus as starters. Their butter chicken is excellent and you may ask for it w white chicken meat but have heard it’s best as is. The chef’s Dal mahkani is also a bit different in that he puts a Graham flavor into it. My husband ordered lamb kebobs which came in generous portion. All items are enough for two people to share. I asked for a special order of Vegetables curry w their special eggplant and even though you might think -curry!? Really? Believe me when I say even this was unique and they were more than happy to make it for me....

The service, food and environment was just amazing at Arabesque! The staff treated us so well, we had to go back again for dinner the next day. All of the food we tried was great and the team brought us their favorites to try as well. Bisam, Saeid, Nahey truly made us feel so welcome and cared for at the restaurant - we wish we had discovered it earlier on our trip. They also offer hookah and my husband loved the shisha combination they designed based on his preferences. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience and they took our great trip and made it even better!
