Helios — Restaurant in Malé Atoll

We had dinner here on the first day we arrived on Patina Maldives. Instead of the usual Mediterranean dining experience we had a buffet style dinner as the band, Cafe Del Mondo, was playing. We were greeted on the beach and offered drinks and canapés before being seated for dinner. Everyone seemed to be having a good time listening to the live music and having a great meal.

The sunset on the beach with the vibrant colours was a sight to savour. Different shades of yellow, orange, and reds made this a sunset to remember.

There were quite a few food stations set up. There was a salad section with bountiful amounts of fresh produce and presented beautifully. Another section had a giant pan filled with seafood paella and a pot of chicken tagine. There was a large bbq area with freshly grilled lobster, prawns, steak, chicken, vegetables, and more. There was made to order pasta station. There were more sections I hadn’t gotten too as consumed too much food. Having a sweet tooth, I couldn’t pass up the dessert buffet. Many glorious mini desserts were on offer which meant you could consume a larger variety which is a smart idea.

Service was prompt and the staff were friendly and always on hand.

I can say that this is my favorite restaurant in patina, followed by the Italian. The food here was amazing, everything was delicious especially the fried eggplants with the sauce and the sweet feta cheese. Also they offered my baby mashed potatoes and beef, he like it so much. The staff were too friendly as they offered me free coconut water because of my pregnancy. I recommend...

Decent. Isnt a lot of basic food, mostly exotic and unusual. The fish they serve isnot fresh most of the time, but sometimes it was incredible. And the prices are kinda high. But still...
