Hamakazi — Restaurant in Malé Atoll

Most disappointing experience on the island so far. The venue is small but very delightful.

The servant on the other hand was completely out of his mind by being very rude and insulting to us on the evening of the 28th July.

It was a very rainy day and he asked us to leave the place and to come back after 30 minutes because we didn't reserve originally. Although this restaurant was never full at any point and there were plenty of seats left. The servant seemed to be overwhelmed and did not manage his workload.

We gave this place still a chance and came back after these 30 minutes again with a reservation this time. This servant took our order for water and we waited for another 15 minutes. He did not serve us the water but already took our food order instead, after pointing out to him on why everyone else already was served their water although we ordered first, he said in a very rude tone that we didn't reserve and that we should be happy that he 'ACEPPTED' us 'STILL'!

After waiting for 45 minutes in total and being served nothing, this comment was the top of the ice berg. We had enough and vacated this place immediately.

You really need to be cautious on who you employ, as we as guests pay a huge amount of money to use the facilities of the resort and to expect a minimum amount of service. Guests should be treated with respect at all times by the staff members which was not the case...
