La Vallata - Trattoria e Pizzeria — Restaurant in Naxxar

We had a superb lunch in this gem of a restaurant. The location is far from the beaten track but it’s worth seeking it out. We had a fish based starter followed by a huge seafood platter and oven baked rabbit. Now, we’ve had our share of seafood platters. This was prepared to perfection - plump mussels, melt-in -the-mouth sea bass and tender octopus, crispy fried calamari and plenty of king prawns. The baked rabbit was succulent and super tender in a moreish tomato-based sauce and plenty of fries and fresh Maltese bread for mopping up of juices. By the end of it, we were stuffed to the gills that we missed out on dessert. The restaurant is known for the tiramisu! Oh, well! We’ll have to go...

Lovely family place with all kinds of food options. Excellent food with the most reasonable prices you can imagine. Parking is not a problem. Went there last Saturday with my husband for a well-deserved relaxing evening, stayed on the outside terrace facing the road, and enjoyed the breeze with soft Italian music in the background. This place simply is amazing.

Don't let the look of the location near the busy road fool you, this place is a gem. It just feels like home. The second time we got there we were greeted with a "hello back", so they remembered us. Everybody is friendly and welcoming and the food is amazing. Always fresh and tasty and if you can't find the right choice, they bring out the chef to find something or cook specially for you.
