NOT GOOD unfortunately I cannot speak highly of the food I consumed in this restaurant, but let's start from the beginning.

Service: the staff is friendly and ready to listen, I was warmly welcomed and seated. I get the least delivered and served drinks in the meantime.

Location: the restaurant presents very well, the internal structure is interesting on an architectural level, all in wood and well furnished (simple) but very tidy and clean.

Food: the menu has a lot of choice, perhaps even too much, ranging from the local Maltese dish, to the Italian one, to pizza, to meat and fish main courses, to burgers, etc. Since it is my first day in Malta I decide to opt for a plate of spaghetti with seafood and some sparkling water. While waiting I was brought a typical welcome aperitif, bread with tomato, olives and onion. The plate of spaghetti arrives and I immediately notice that the pasta is dry (despite a hint of broth on the bottom of the plate) and totally odorless, strange for fresh fish. Unfortunately, when I tasted it, I realized that it lacked salt and oil, the fish wasn't very good and, alas, the swill I saw tasted like stock cubes and celery. I find myself forced to send the dish back and decide to get a beef burger: this is also a bad choice. The meat is tough and dry, not the classic hamburger seasoned with unidentified spices, but the chips were good.

I will definitely not return to this restaurant because of the food served but I can understand that being the only one in the neighborhood it is always popular. Nothing negative to report about the staff...

A HIDDEN GEM! Lately I heard great feedback about this place and coincidentally it happened that we organised a night out to this place between colleagues. It turned out to be much better then expected. From the outside the facade doesn't seem much and you would almost expect a bit of a tired place. However once you step into the restaurant, the first thing that hits you is the beautiful decor & lovely ambiance of this place. It is also not small at all, something which was also unexpected. The service was professional & friendly, whilst the food was delicious - well presented, tasty, and for the heavy eaters it is also abundant.

Since we were a large group, we left it in the hands of the staff to select a few dishes for us as a starter, and we were so pleased that we opted to do the same for the rest of the meal. Several traditional Maltese dishes started arriving to the table (such as maltese platter, snail stew, Maltese bread with kunserva etc), along with a few modern twists including the fried Ġbejna which was to die for.

Our mains included dishes such as fried rabbit, BBQ ribs, horse meat (which is one of the best I ever tasted). Accompanied by chips, roasted potatoes & vegetables.

For dessert we had Imqaret (super delicious & with a good amount of filling), Maltese Ice cream, Ħelwa tat-Tork & Kannoli. Coffee & liqueur followed after.

The meal included alcoholic beverages, water & soft drinks. All of this for about 48 euros per head - WELL DONE...

We had gone once before on a week day and everything went well and we enjoyed the experience. So we suggested the place for a birthday celebration on a Saturday. Horrible experience from the start. We stood for 5 minutes at the door waiting for someone to greet us and take us to our booked table, waiters looked flustered like it was all their first day there and didn't know how to cope. We actually had to stop them and ask for our table, and they did, with half a gesture. Again, a lot of effort to gain their attention to get drinks and eventually order. We all sat down at around 8.30. We got starters at 9.15 but our mains didn't arrive until 10.30. We obviously complained directly to waiters multiple times, one time their response was "we don't only have your table to service". I could see that thank you very much, but the whole restaurant was waiting for food while TAKE-OUT orders were flying. At least 30 pizzas went out in the meantime. I know it's not the waiters' fault but no one acknowledged properly that a full restaurant was waiting for their food. Food was decent at the end and the kinder bueno cake (ordered directly from them) was really good, hence the 2 stars. Management should really stop taking take-out orders when their restaurant is full. Plus some sort of an apology would have made the situation a bit more bearable, not even a drink was offered on the house. Not...

We came here to eat before our flight back. The server told us we wouldn't wait long, but in the end, we waited for over an hour. The food is good, but the service needs improvement. They are not well-organized; at the beginning, they were too attentive. We were asked by four different servers if everything was okay, and when we ordered additional drinks, we had to ask three different servers and remind them several times. In the end, we received the wrong order.
