One of the only places I wish I had sixth star to give. Casual eatery, done right.

Food: Garlic Octopus as starter to share and the surf and turf & chicken burger as main. Everything was delicious. We were blown away.

Server super friendly, we actually had a conversation. I used a voucher and as opposed to other places, we didn't get a negative reaction and were treated well. Great service as well.

Ambience inside, really well designed and air conditioned.

Also serves cocktails which are missing from the drinks menu. They also prepare water based fruit punch, which was told is prepared fresh daily.

We came to try out Hungry Hippie due to a voucher we got at the Malta food festival which clearly stated that the voucher was 50% on all food. When we came to pay they told us that the voucher in only valid for one person and not really on all food. This condition was no where written on the voucher and when we told the person at the cash he showed us a sign at the bar. Clean and nice atmosphere, but nothing special. The service is excellent. Menu is limited. No lactose free options. No kids menu. A child at our table ordered a burger. She didn't have much choice and she didn't like it. What a waste!
