This place stood out at me in the sea of solid restaurant options in the area. Upon walking in I was a bit surprised that it wasn’t busier, but as I was early for the local dinnertime, I was greeted and sat immediately. The space was vibrant with colorful pops from Lebanese decor from the chandeliers, bowls hung on the walls, and these bronze tables. There was also a wonderful picture of a fez hanging in front of me. The atmosphere although bright, was still inviting and comfortable.
My waiter was excellent. Kind and informative about Lebanese culture and food. Friendly and attentive as well. I settled on the hummus, a spinach puffed pastry, and lamb ribs.
The hummus was sesame forward is the way it should be. A fantastically smooth texture with arils of pomegranate and was dusted with paprika and sumac I believe.
The spinach puffed pastry was reminiscent of spanakopita. It was earthy and simple and familiar.
The lamb ribs were cooked excellently. A beautiful sear and perfectly salted. They served the lamb with some red onions to complement it. Alongside the lamb came grilled vegetables cooked over charcoal. There is nothing quite like cooking over coals and getting beautiful chars but maintaining a good texture, especially with vegetables.
I tried some Lebanese red wine similar to a Syrah that I enjoyed a lot. I also decided to try a digestif called Arak which was very unique. It was anise flavored but boy did it pack a punch.
My experience here was quite wonderful and I would definitely come again. For a restaurant that’s only been open for around 6 month I think this place will do great and be...

An Unforgettable Lebanese Feast in St. Julian's, Malta!
Our recent dinner at this Lebanese gem in St. Julian's was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we stepped in, the warm ambiance and vibrant decor transported us straight to the heart of Lebanon.
The service was impeccable—attentive yet unobtrusive, making sure our evening was seamless and delightful. The menu offered an exquisite selection of authentic Lebanese dishes, each bursting with bold flavors and fresh ingredients.
We indulged in a feast of mezze, from creamy hummus and smoky baba ganoush to perfectly crisp falafel and succulent grilled meats. Every bite was a testament to the restaurant's dedication to quality and authenticity.
The atmosphere added to the magic of the night—soft Middle Eastern music playing in the background, beautifully presented dishes, and an energy that made us feel at home. Sharing this incredible experience with my wife and our two friends made it even more special.

Read moreIf you like Lebanese cuisine you can enjoy it in one of the 2 Top-spots in Malta; and Leyla is definitely one of the 2.
Starting from the mezze, either cold or hot, and going to the main course till the dessert you won't be disappointed.
I took some hot mezze, Sambousek Minced Meat, that were delicious; then went to the usual Lamb meat as I love the way they cook at Lebanese restaurants, Rheeyash Lharouf, that were the most tender and well cooked lamb ribs I had in a while.
To finish the dinner a trio of dessert assembled with a Baklava, the 2 Mamool and to finish with the Warbat. Well I am still thinking after a week about the Mamool and the Warbat that they were simply superb.
As drink, a glass of white Lebanese wine of the house that was really good and a big bottle of sparkling water.
Total for this, 72.50 euros.
Oh not to mention and forget the service that was friendly, yet professional and perfect.
Definitely monies well spent on a superb dinner.
