Our visit to NU Caffé Aperitivo was, unfortunately, a huge disappointment in terms of service. We arrived at around 7:00 p.m. to find a nearly empty restaurant, which made us expect prompt and efficient service. However, the reality was quite the opposite.
From the very beginning, service was practically nonexistent. It took 15 minutes for someone to bring us the menu, and after placing our order, we had to wait another 25 minutes just to receive our drinks. This delay was even more baffling given the lack of other customers.
When we finally ordered our food, the waiter surprised us by discouraging certain dishes, saying they were “generally not well-liked.” Rather than coming across as honest, this remark felt unprofessional and reflected a lack of confidence in the restaurant’s offerings. Thankfully, once the food arrived, it was well-prepared and of good quality—the only redeeming aspect of our experience.
The worst part of the service, however, came when we ordered a second round of drinks. After waiting 30 minutes with no sign of them, we decided to pay and leave. Strangely enough, at that exact moment, the waiter suddenly reappeared, apologizing and even offering free desserts as compensation. While it’s appreciated that they acknowledged their mistakes, their condescending attitude and overall lack of professionalism made the experience frustrating.
Conclusion
NU Caffé Aperitivo might have decent food, but the terrible service completely ruins the experience. From the extreme delays to the lack of customer care, it’s clear that there are serious issues with staff management. This is not a place we would return to or recommend unless they drastically improve...
