Open Waters — Restaurant in Saint Julian's

TLDR: Slowest and most unorganised service I've received ever, only go here if you have +2 hours to spend and don't mind not getting anything without waiting 20 minutes (and then getting the wrong thing).

The parts of the food I ordered and actually managed to get was pretty good, so it's a shame the service ruins the experience.

First we had drinks, they forgot some of them, and never returned. I had ordered a 3-set meal, and after every meal the waiter/ waitress left and never returned. I had to go find them standing talking to each other at the bar to get the next. They forgot extras like ketchup and salt/ pepper. When asked I got ketchup but they forgot salt/ pepper and never returned. New and different waiter every time since they apparently had done a day's work coming to the table once. We couldn't order drinks without making a huge effort to track them down, or disturbing them relaxing at the bar. The finally was my dessert, which I also had to request. New waitress. No coffee. I asked about the absence of the included coffee and she said it wasn't included, I said it says so in the menu and she said she could ask, I said she could just check the menu but that didn't help her problem solving abilities (because she couldn't read??). We seriously considered just leaving without paying since we basically had done the job for them, but we ended up paying for the chef's work which was pretty good. I have worked as a waiter myself and struggle to understand the lack of intelligence and motivation found in this place, another waiter apologised and said they were understaffed and obviously they are when 5 waiters are constantly chilling at the bar doing nothing and people are waiting to...

Came here to watch the Champions League final and the staff were so rude that it felt like I was the butt of some social experiment.

Firstly, we were told that the entry fee of 30 euro was merely a deposit and would be given back to us upon returning our wrist bands. At the end of the night, they told us they couldn't give us our cash back, and gave us beer instead...

I understand that the champions league final is a big occasion and they were very busy. However, the evening was terribly planned out and the staff need a complete overhaul. Even the superior members of staff need a basic course in manners...

Saturday night... if you want to have a beer, relax. Just dont go to this place. Service is simply horrible. Asked for a beer. Waited 20 min...no beer. Went to the bar, asked for the beer and an expresso again and paid it. Lady said to sit and the beer would come. Guess what?!? Never came. Went to the bar saying where is my beer. And nobody had the cortesy of giving me a beer which i paid for and to complain to the waitress. Then, 5 minutes debating if i would get my beer...nothing! Tried to complain and the manager. A blond tall guy who claimed to be the manager with a diagusting atitude threw a piece of paper to write a complain. Asked for official conplaints book and there isnt. Told me to go to the reception of the hotel which out of curiosity i went and nothing, no complaints book. Simply diagusting the attitude of this people ruining auch an amazing place. I live in Malta and its really annoying to see these kind of people without any kind of education serving people. If you really want to have an enjoyable night..just go somewhere else around and you avoid the stress of dealing with this...
