Entering the restaurant involves getting past the front desk that's outside, then the front desk that's inside (they swipe the lift for access) then you get to the reception desk in the restaurant on the 11th floor. I was already losing the will to enter, after the second desk asked me three times if I had a reservation. I was trying to explain I was a guest of somebody else who did have a reservation.
As a guest I didn't see the charges but I think it was 45 euros per head for a 10 course tasting menu. One of the courses was some kind of thin biscuits with mushrooms on it and another course was a leaf salad with parmesan crisps. Soggy sweet potato fries. Only one dish was served with a serving spoon so we had to ask. The tiny pieces of tandoori chicken on a pile of raita tasted good but it was really amuse bouche size. The bottomless prosecco is good but you have to keep asking for refills. The main course was tacos... Small thin cylindrical tacos coated in mayonnaise and guacamole piped sauce which looks like the local kebab shop but worse. Three per plate and six plates between 12 people. One and a half each; not really enough for a starter.
Final course was dessert. Five desserts between 12 people. I suggested one extra so that there was one between two and they brought three more. Unfortunately They will not needed as I had tasted it by then. The base of the dessert was hard and chewy and the ice cream tasted of rosemary. Not having had much of a main course I was then fancying roast lamb, inspired by the rosemary. Dreadful food. Despite the tiny portions much was left. The hit coffee served in a glass was too hot to hold.
The staff do their very best, I have much praise for them but there clearly hasn't been much training. Nice surroundings, apart from the view of the pool from our table. Management and...
Read moreTHE MOST ❗️HORRIBLE❗️ EXPIRIENCE IN THE RESTAURANT 2025 We made a reservation a week in advance to celebrate the birthdays of two people in our group While booking, we clearly mentioned the occasion and specifically requested a table with a view (by the window) to make it more special
To make matters worse❗️we brought a BIRTHDAY CAKE(in advance),which we handed to the staff immediately at the reception, clearly with the intention for it to be stored properly. Shockingly, the cake was left out at room temperature for over an hour, right on the reception downstairs No one from the staff took responsibility ❗️❗️❗️
❌ Truly disappointing from start to finish❌ The waiter serving us barely spoke English - and to be honest, most of the staff didn't either Just to remind you, we're in Malta — an English-speaking country‼️ When we pointed this out(to MANAGER)we were simply told, "I'm BRAZILIAN," which only added to our frustration We had to repeat things three times, and even then the waiter clearly didn't understand us properly
Our impression was already ruined from the very beginning! when we were handed back the birthday cake But the worst was yet to come‼️‼️‼️‼️ Have you ever heard of a restaurant that doesn't allow you to bring your own birthday cake? ❗️Well, now we have❗️ At this restaurant, it's not allowed‼️ After some back and forth, they finally brought the cake out - but guess what? We WEREN’T allowed to eat it‼️⁉️‼️ It was honestly the peak of absurdity‼️ We came to what's supposed to be an above-average restaurant to celebrate an important moment in the lives of two people we love - and what we got felt like a SLAP IN THE FACE❗️
The MANAGER , was not able to assist in resolving the issue and instead responded with: "There is someone above me. We are not...
