We were meant to go to Marsaxlokk today since I have a friend visiting. Due to me not feeling well, I did a search of the best seafood restaurants in Malta and this little one came up. Luckily I decided to book as it is a really popular venue. The bruschette served was great. We shared the Sicilian platter which had some Sicilian sausage, two delicious cheeses, an aubergine dish and then a mouthwatering green pepper and tomato salsa. My two companions had the swordfish which was terrific and I had the crustacean pasta. Generous helping of clams and mussels. Would like to have seen some prawns and not the tiny shrimps. Rounded off with some great coffee. The restaurant is tiny but has a great vibe. There are tables outside as well. A family had a small child there which was a bit much at times but not a issue. I love that you can have your dog with you at the outside tables! All in all a great experience - well worth it.

One of the best italian restaurants i have ever eaten in. The ingredients were really fresh and tasted wonderfully prepared. We went there twice! For starters, we had the classic fish platter with cozze mussels, a kind of fish frittata, a fish and bean salad and the salmon rolls with ricotta. highly recommended! For the "country" starter, we had meatballs in tomato sauce, a charcutterie with cheese, salami and bresola, grilled vegetables and a kind of aubergine lasagne. For the main course we had fresh pesce Spada (swordfish) and pesce Tonno (clayfish) with a wonderful Sicilian sauce. The second time we had pasta with seafood and pesto, which was also wonderful. Despite our full bellies, we had a panna cotta for dessert. The staff were incredibly nice and recommended their favourite dishes to us. The price-performance ratio was also completely ok. I can only recommend this restaurant!

Delicious food served in very generous portions, be careful when ordering if you want to have space for a dessert 😂😅 Staff were very accommodating when I asked whether any of the fish on the menu are served as a fillet, answer to this question was a short "no" and before I could say that this is fine the waiter quickly followed up with "if you want a fillet we will make a fillet!", don't think I've ever been to a restaurant so focused on their guests requests. We ordered Antipasto Aquamarina (two arancini are missing from the first plate in the picture cause we inhaled them too quickly), baked seabream (fillet 😅) and Tonno Alla Sicilliana, there was no chance to fit any desserts in after the hearty portions! Definitely worth a visit!

We just arrived in St Paul's and our hotel room wasn't ready. It was a rainy morning, so we wandered around, looking for something to eat. We stopped at one place to have a coffee but didn't stay there too long as it wasn't the place for us. Using Google Maps, we've found Aqua Marina Restaurant. All we can say was that this was perfect. We had a recommended starter and two mains, which we shared. The best seafood dishes ever. I did t add salt or pepper. The hosts were so warm and friendly that we had to give them a hug when we left. I would give this place 12 out of 10 if I could. Freshly made pasta from a fantastic sicillian family, made with love 😍

I wasn’t a seafood fan but this place changed my mind! There are so many flavours in the dish that’s not possible not to like it! The bruschetta and the limoncello ice cream (i think it was ice crushed with limoncello) were a very special attention from the restaurant (we didn’t orderd/pay for them) . The Fresh Tuna with clamps is incredibly good. It seems to be a family business with a small and very cozy restaurant. It makes you feel like you go into a sicilian home and you are being served a genuine dish.

Bugibba is not a top destination for holiday. It is also not a place for a quality food. That is quite an ordinary thing to know. So when you enter Acqua Marina, you will experience a telekinetic transportation to a SpaceShip called HMSS GreatFoodExperience and you will be sent to Italy (Sicily) with a tip top regional expert in food preparation. When you taste... you'll not want to go back home! Quality! It is a must when visiting Bugibba!!! Fish, pasta, soups... all fine. Ps' Although, I am not a fish fan!
