Bognor Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Saint Paul's Bay

At first, a very nice place by the sea. But the service was the worst in my life. There were four adults and a child. First, no one came to us for about 10 minutes. Then the waiter came and brought us a menu's. He came back after maybe a minute and asked us to order. All of us ordered drinks (two cappuccinos, ice tea, beer, and a glass of white wine), and I still didn't know what to eat. He was a little pushy, but I asked him to give me a minut to decide. Then a girl bought one cappuccino and ice tea, asked me if I've decided, I sad yes and ordered pasta. A few minutes later, she brought me my pasta and told me that only that was prepared. We asked why she brought only mine meal and where the rest of the drinks were. She said that she thought that we didn't order anything else and asked what the order was. Then she brought the rest of the drinks and we asked to return mine and bring it with everyone else's food. They both came back with all our food about five minutes later. Of course, mine was the same plate which she brought earlier, so it was not hot enough, but I didn't want to argue cus I saw that there's no point. My friend ordered a risotto with seafood but she got one with a chicken. The waiter took her plate and gave it to another table and she got the right one. In the meantime, my other friend asked for another beer from the waiteress, but he didn't got it, after that he asked from the waiter a beer, he said of course, but apparently he forgot it too, and went smoking on the parking. So, I really didn't enjoy food and it's a shame, because it was tasty. Apparently, only cook's are doing...

Bognor attracts with a nice terrace, that’s why we decided to eat there. We ordered the „Angus Burger“ with extra cheese (cause we love to have cheese on every burger 😋) and the waitress agreed friendly. The burger itself was extremely sweet and spicy - so far, so good -, but there was no advice on the menu. The extra cheese wasn’t included, so we asked for that again. From this moment it was over with friendly behavior. The original answer was „it is what it is“. When she noticed, we really couldn’t eat that burger because of its strongly sweet taste, she offered to change the burger. In this case, everything had been alright. After two minutes, she came back to tell that’s after all not possible and we should order another burger. We even agreed and wanted to get the single chicken burger but without sides, cause that’s what we already had. She told that we could have the burger single, but only for the full price. We then ordered a starter (mushrooms) to get anything to eat quickly. This took a time of further 45 minutes. We left the restaurant with a feeling to get robbed and still hungry. If you want customer service, competent waitresses and a meal, which is clearly described in the menu, never go there. You won’t be happy. Absolutely no recommendation. There are plenty of better...

Very rude staff. I tried having breakfast there but first, it took them some time for them to come to the table. I went inside to check the pies in the counter and the waitress rudely told us to come back to the table and wait. After I ordered, my husband got there while he was finishing a donut. The manager came to tell us he could not eat the donut there, which I totally understand, but he was very rude. As my husband was packing the donut box he came again and was very rude telling him to leave. I tried explaining he had finished already and I was still waiting for my order, but he just told us to leave and turned his back. Although I understand the mistake we committed, it was early in the morning, nobody else was there, there was no reason for being so rude from the start. The waitress was bringing the plates and my order was ready when the man made us leave, so they preferred to throw our food away then just serving us after we had already apologized. Luckily we crossed the street and found better food and much better service, so for us it was a win in the end!
