A special restaurant find in Qwara! We received a warm welcome as soon as we stepped in the door from owners Paul and Natalie. Ambience was lovely and relaxing. Food beautifully cooked and presented with care. We were given complimentary bruschetta whilst waiting for our starters. Would definitely recommend the main course of salmon with parsley sauce, accompanied with delicious potatoes and vegetables. Another excellent choice as a starter was the tasty fish soup which included plenty of freshly cooked mussels. My medium rare steak was cooked to perfection and I opted for the peppercorn sauce to compliment it. Wine options were plentiful, and the Maltese choice did not disappoint. Could continue on about the food but prefer to say, try it for yourself as the "proof is in the pudding". Speaking of puddings, we did not manage to try them and that was only because we were truly full with our first two courses. Honestly can say the service was excellent, and we were treated with faultless hospitality from the owners. Churchills offers that extra special something when dining in St. Pauls Bay, Malta. There was no other place we dined at that...
Read moreI'm sorry to write this, but people should know. I ordered fillet medium rare : it was burned outside and inside it was rare. Okay, I told that nice service lady about it. Meat quality was not good, so it was not to rescue. The potatoes were half burned and half not pan fried. The vegetables were dead cooked, no color and wet. The mushroom sauce had fresh mushrooms but the sauce was definitely not fresh made. I heard behind the chief yelling because of the complaints... Local red wine was not what you usually get here, but I thought, well, I'm done... Then I tried the lemon cheese cake : it was not fresh, it was warmed up in microwave, half warm, half frozen. And the best is, It was my most expensive dinner this time 🙈 I'm only sorry for the lady in service, she was so nice and had to listen to that chef...
Read moreAmazing! Came across this restaurant while on holiday and honestly what an incredible find. Hidden away in St Paul’s Bay. You could not fault anything here, the staff were so welcoming and nothing was too much of a hassle. Incredible service and food was to die for. We were honestly shocked at how reasonably it was priced for the quality of the food we received (100% get the lamb). Just a lovely restaurant with some genuinely nice, friendly and approachable people. Even the chef came to chat with us - really made a lasting impression during our stay.
