This restaurant is located roughly 7 minutes away from Bugibba square and one can easily get to it by walk. Upon entering the restaurant, our host guided us and explained thoroughly their menu as it was our first time trying a Serbian cuisine. All their staff are Serbian with a good level of English language which makes it easy to communicate and understand each other. The restaurant has a very simple set up, yet it is very well up-kept and tidy with a typical Serbian music atmosphere. We were not quite sure what to order, therefore our host patiently went through the menu and advised us with their authentic meals which was very helpful and comforting. We had some fried marrows and cheese for a starter and for a main dish we took his advice for a mixed grill with different types of meat and mash potatoes. All of their food was full of flavors and cooked in a wholehearted way. We would recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to try something which is different that usual as their staff will definitely make you feel like home. Overall we rate this restaurant 5 stars. We had a great experience trying genuine and authentic Serbian food, in a great ambiance and most of all it is a value for money. Thank you...
Read moreLast summer i came to Malta for vacation with my frienda. As we arrived we asked taxi driver where we can eat good food. Inter alia he told us that in St. Julian is a great restaurant with tradicional serbian dishes. It sounded interesting so one day we decided to go there. Experience was beautiful. The food is maybe one of the best food that i have ever eaten. I orderd gulas, my friend sarma, and the third one ordered cevapi. I tried sarma and cevapi, so that my friends tried my gulas. Every dish that we oredered was so tasteful and the portions was huge. Also the prices are not expensive. Staff was so kind and hosting, and also one of the owner came to our table, asking if everything was ok. I have to mention that atmosphere eas fantastic, due to live acustic band (tamburasi) who played tradiotional serbian music.
P.S. I think that they are playing only on weekends, if you would like to get...
Read moreMy expectations were pretty high, having in mind the Google rating of the restaurant and knowing there is a large Serbian community in Malta. Sadly, the place did not nearly meet those expectations. They did not have two out of five things we wanted to order, that were in the menu. The food took way too long to be served for reasons unknown, as there were a total of five people, us included, in the restaurant. The cevapi were completely tasteless, as if no spices were used, and too oily. The chicken was also basic. On the bright side, the staff is very pleasant and polite. The bathroom is right next to the kitchen, shared by men and women. The overall interior is dark and it’s really a basic road-side type of restaurant with outdated and worn out decoration. It certainly does not deserve the...
