Sometimes you really should believe the bad reviews you read about a restaurant. My wife and I went to this restaurant for dinner because I wanted Asian food. Things started to go downhill right from the start when they couldnât make a gin and tonic due to an unexpected lack of tonic water. I switched to cider, so that issue was resolved.
When it came to the starters, only I received mine first (as it should be), while my wife got hers only together with the main courses â but at least she did get them eventually. For my main course, I ordered the lamb curry, but I ended up getting pork instead. Apparently, that was easier for them to get? Eating my meal would have been much easier if the meat had been properly cut, rather than served as one big chunk where most of the pieces were still stuck together. Luckily, I still have good teeth, and the knife was sharp enough.
My wife eventually finished her âstarterâ soup and moved on to her curry, but she couldnât finish it because the meat tasted so bad that she couldnât eat it. Fortunately, she had the soup, so she wasnât left completely hungry. At that point, weâd had enough and decided to leave the restaurant.
On the positive side, I can say that the waiter was very friendly...
Read moreWe stayed at an AX hotel, and as visitors we looked for an Asian restaurant nearby. We found this place on Google and, despite the reviews, decided to give it a try which turned out to be our first mistake. The restaurant was quiet, not busy at all. We were welcomed by a waitress. We ordered the food. The food was undercooked, the oil was not properly prepared, and overall the dishes tasted raw. When we mentioned this to the waitress, instead of checking with the chef, she replied "that's how the food is" .This kind of response felt dismissive and unhelpful.Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there. As paying customers, we expect proper communication and at least an effort to address our concerns. The waitressâs communication was weak, which aligned with what we had already noticed in the reviews. We left politely with a smile, pretending to be satisfied, but the truth is we were disappointed. On the positive side, we were relieved we didnât feel ill afterwards. I genuinely hope the restaurant improves its food preparation and staff communication so future customers can have a...
Read moreI had the misfortune of dining at Jufu with a couple of friends, and it was hands down the worst restaurant experience Iâve ever had.
To start, the service was appalling. The staff barely understood English, making it nearly impossible to communicate. On top of that, they were incredibly rude and dismissive. Hygiene seemed like an afterthoughtâone staff member literally explained what our food was by touching it with his bare hands while it was already on the table. Completely unacceptable.
The food took over an hour to arrive, and even then, it was incomplete. Some of our food didnât show up at all, leaving two of my friends hungry. To make matters worse, part of our order arrived around midnight, which is ridiculous. When we brought this up and asked for a fair price adjustment, the owner argued with us and raised his voice instead of addressing the issue even after I advised him to calm himself multiple times.
The overall lack of professionalism and care was staggering. If you value your time, money, and appetite, I strongly advise avoiding this place. None of us will...
