We had been going to La Stalla for quite a number of times, but we will never ever set a foot back into this restaurant. Not only because of the extremely bad service, but also due to the way the waitress was talking to her clients. After having finished our Maltese shared platter - still waiting for our bottle of water ordered half an hour ago - the waiter had been walking by our table for at least a dozen of times without even looking at us. About 15 minutes later, we had to tell him that he can take the plate. He asked us “Are you ready for the main course?”. Well, obviously… It took another 40 minutes (!!) for four pizza to make it to our table. People who had ordered their food after we had finished our starter were served their main course before us.. Later, the waiter asked me whether I had finished my plate. Instead of waiting for my reply, he simply took my plate, even though I had not even finished eating yet. So what’s the point of even asking? When we wanted to pay, one of the waitresses gave us the wrong bill. After having told the person running the restaurant that evening that we were disappointed with the service, another waitress (the one with died hair) started insulting us, using words which according to Google policy I am not allowed to use in this review. Long story short: We used to like going to this restaurant, food was usually good, but since the new personnel is working their - unfortunately, this is in line with the rest of the development in the industry and of the country itself - it is in no way recommendable any longer. Even though the owners apologised for the inconveniences, I’d rather spend a couple of euros more and get treated in...
Read moreLa Stalla is a nice premises and has plenty of people to grace its tables.Food was good and meal enjoyable. However, service was not good at all.My advice to would be diners is don't go to La Stalla if you are eating on your own.I was placed at a table where my view of any of the waiting staff was blocked so I could not catch their attention. Four groups of people came in after me and all were served before me. When a waitress did cone to serve she would only take my drinks order telling me a colleague would come to take my meal order.I sat for almost 20mins before I managed to cath the attention of a waitress who came to take my order. The Proprietor did ask me twice when I had received my meal if everything was OK.The first occasion was before I had taken a bite. On finishing my main course I had intended to have dessert but my empty plate sat on my table for a full half hour before anyone came to lift it away and I was so fed up of being ignored and overlooked whilst all the tables around me were being attended to that I decided not waste any more time waiting for a menu to choose dessert and then waiting for my bill etc.I asked for my bill after my main course n decided to go to a local Gelateria for some dessert as the service in La Stalla was so poor. This was not the 1st time I have eaten here but I have to say my experience has been the same every time which is unfortunate. I doubt I...

Loved it. From the outside, it doesn't look much, but there's several entrances, and they all look different, and, so does the inside, an eclectic mix of old and modernist decor representing wall decorations from kitchen and tableware in plaster, then a range of pictures and posters of American Indians, and even a selection of old guns on the wall and a pool table in the middle of the restaurant (covered over and used as storage for glasses!). If you enter the right entrance there is part of the kitchen so you can see what's going on... and it certainly does! Lots of tables, lots of choice on the menu, and I must admit, excellent taste, quality and quantity.
As I said, it doesn't look much from the outside, but it's well worth exploring the inside and their food.
Service? The first person took our drinks order and then another for the food. They were dressed as if it was freezing cold wearing thick jackets, but the temperature inside was pleasant for us wearing a shirt (or other attire for the ladies). Slow start, but they did revisit to enquire to satisfaction (which it was).
La Stalla delivers on taste, quality, and quantity. Sometimes those are the best surprises, aren't they? The kind of place where you think, "Wow, I almost missed...
