The environment is spacious, modern and contemporary with bossa Nova music playing gently in the background. Attentive staff promptly took us to our seat having booked the table just 20 minutes prior. However, there were plenty of spaces in this restaurant. In warmer months it looks like it would be open for outdoor dining as well.

The tables were nicely spaced apart so as not to feel cramped however, there does look like there would be lots of capacity.

My partner had the rabbit liver for starters, which was served on some beautifully fresh and crusty, and a basket of bread for me, served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The rabbit liver was perfectly cooked and rich in flavour.

For the main course we had the Gnocchi Di Patata, which was beautifully creamy, and something I've not really had before until today. The portion was substantial and in fact I couldn't finish it because I was so full but it was delicious.

My partner had the Sea Bass, which came with seasonal vegetables and potatoes. It was beautifully laid out on the plate and again a good portion size.

For dessert, we had some ice cream and a warm chocolate fondant which was beautifully rich, perfectly cooked with a lovely crisp, outer and a liquid centre, complimented with some smooth pistachio ice cream.

A restaurant. I would definitely visit again when I come to stay in Malta.

I came to this restaurant purely because of the 4.8 review on Google and when navigating to the website the care it takes in mentioning the passion the chef patron has for food.

If you're in Qawra, or even in Malta, I see no reason why you wouldn't come to this restaurant to try...

Absolutely Amazing!

I decided to vist Lovage with my girlfriend for Sunday lunch... It was one of the best decisions I ever made !

We started off with Baked Goat Gbejna to share. On our first bite our taste buds were awakened in the most delightful manner. I had never tried a baked gbejna before and it was quite a pleasant surprise. The touch of maltese honey, cut through the saltiness of the cheese delightfully.

Main course was an even bigger surprise! I had the braised Beef Belly whilst mrs had Pork Belly. Remembering about the experience I'm drooling again! The beef was extremly tender ans the pork belly was both jucy and crispy.

And last but not least... The chocolate fondant. Oh My God! Words and pictures can't do it enough justice!

As we were finishing our meal, the Chef came out to see if everything was to our satisfaction... Prior to going I always heard good reviews but, as I told Chef Matthew, my expectations were happily exceeded!

Will be...

A little oasis amongst the hotchpotch holiday developments of Bugʻibba. Nestled between the dense and dull mid-range hotels and back-to-back apartment blocks is this amazing bistro. Thankfully easy to find, especially with it's name painted atop one of the aforementioned blocks at the foot of which it's seated, we found this to be a beautiful haven in the midst of what my dining partner ungenerously described as being "like Beirut". Be that as it may, the restaurant has a very pleasant demeanor, nice outdoor patio seating area, but great drinks and amazing food. The Boneless Quail was delicious- that anyone would take the effort to remove the bones and prepare a Quail in such a way is one thing which alone deserves praise, but to cook it as superbly as this quite another. Our waiter was totally charming. My cocktail was excellent, I just wished I'd had room for dessert. If you are in this area and appreciate decent food, you...
