On the last night of our trip, to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we decided to treat ourselves and visit Minoa for the tasting menu. The menu is priced at €80 per person, for the food only.
The evening started well, with the service at a high level, which made you feel special. After an hour into the service, we had only had our starters, so we’re getting hungrier by the minute. We started to notice some of the waiting staff disappear, which caused the delays in between courses. As stated, the food was of a fairly high standard visually but certain courses lacked seasoning and finesse. We have experience dining at this level and a passion for cooking / food in general, and found most dishes very underwhelming to the palette.
Our evening soon took a turn when there was clearly a dispute between the only remaining waiter and one of the kitchen staff. This was very obvious as he even grabbed him across the counter. There was no manager present, and no control over that embarrassing situation, and for dining at that level, when customers are paying high prices, you should not have to witness that level of awkwardness. The waiter then acted as if nothing had been happening, bringing us over free alcoholic shots which at this point we really didn’t want. I found myself ready to want to get involved to break up this dispute, which really isn’t something a guest wants to deal with during a fine dining meal…
There is a sense in this place whereby if you leave something on your plate, or decide to not take one of the shots, you’re made to feel guilty as they ask you why you don’t like it. This made my wife feel uncomfortable.
Overall we were really disappointed with the evening as we had high expectations and just got...
Read moreWe had an incredible dining experience here. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed, and the open kitchen adds such a special touch—you get to see the chefs carefully crafting each dish, which really makes you appreciate the process.
The menu offers a wonderful variety, and every dish we tried was outstanding. The flavors were rich and refined, but what really stood out was the presentation. You can tell that the choice of plates and the way each dish is arranged is intentional, designed to highlight the colors and textures of the food. It’s clear that there’s an artistic vision behind it, and it makes the experience not just about taste, but also about aesthetics.
We were served by Nikhil, who was an excellent host. He was attentive, warm, and ensured we always had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. His hospitality really elevated the evening.
The ambiance is calm and elegant, as the restaurant is for guests over 16, which makes it feel sophisticated and relaxed at the same time. Being on the rooftop of the hotel, the views are absolutely stunning—especially while enjoying a glass of wine from their exceptional selection of both local and international labels.
Every detail here, from the service to the flavors to the visual design of the dishes, shows true dedication and passion. It’s the kind of place where you don’t just eat—you fully...
Read moreWe have been staying at the AX ODYCY and as part of our all inclusive package were able to dine once at the Minoa restaurant. We enjoyed the evening so much that we booked to spend our last evening here. Everything about this dining experience is faultless. We both had duck for starters, my main was beef tenderloin (cooked perfectly for me, medium rare) and my husband had the catch of the day, Grouper. Were were served fresh bread, butters, hummous and olives to start, then a wonderful amuse bouche fishcake (sorry no photos) The food is presented and a description is given by the extremely attentive, yet not intrusive staff. The surroundings are welcoming and comfortable and it is obvious that all the staffs overall aim is for your enjoyment of your meal and evening. Special thanks go to Bandita, Shien and Indra for going above and beyond in their service and all the team involved in making our last evening...
