Spaghetti Junction — Restaurant in Saint Paul's Bay

Our first full day in malta we ventured down the road from our hotel this morning and had a look at the menu. My 17 year son is what bread is to butter if he was on death row it would be a bowl of pasta. so later on i knew the hints were coming and we walked and were met with the most beautiful welcome ive ever had from any restaurent in any country. We were rather hungry so were excited when the same freindly host brought a little bowl of nibbles to our table (slighty salted perfectly cruncy and crispy) we ordered 2 of the local beers cisk (must try ) When our starter came of chicken wings we thought it was a main because it had french fries on the plate no no that was a starter. My wife ordered a chicken ceaser salad that judging by the look of it julius would have being impressed himself. my son ordered spaghetti with beef olives hes still eating it in his mind now. my treat was spaghetti aglio oli and i tell you this that may be a dish of only a few components but each of them components were have a very complex and benifical meeting with my taste buds.

we will be going again on thursday and if i play my cards right on friday too.

Genuinely guys from the bottom of my heart if you are in malta and walk past spaghetti junction you will be comitting a crime to yourselves you have to eat there do not waste...

Do not come here!! Me and my family ordered 3 different pasta dishes and received 3 plates of the same penne pasta with some grated cheese on top. No rigatoni, truffle, pesto (what we ordered) I asked where the meals we ordered were and was told extremely rudely that “our kitchens must be different in Italy” which is not only completely incorrect for the dishes we ordered but very rude and insulting. The staff were incredibly incompetent and the food was a disgrace not to mention the fact they tried telling us that in Italy pesto is just basil leaves and rigatoni is penne shaped ???? Ridiculous. The meals we ordered were on the menu as rigatoni, truffle and pesto based and the 3 meals we received were the exact same plate of penne pasta. I wouldn’t have minded if they were honest and told us that they didn’t have the ingredients if this was the case but the fact we were told that we were wrong and also tried to make us look like we didn’t know what we were talking...
